Encounter - Miku POV

The world is a place of infinite opportunities. Anything could have happened on that faithful day, but I just so happened to meet the love of my life. I was skipping gleefully through the park, singing PoPiPo while my blue twin tails bounced around, when I saw her. She had a dog on a leash, who was eating grass. The woman had a thin frame and defined cheekbones, as well as a smirk that made me freeze in place.

She noticed me and I blushed. She was holding a ukulele, and I knew she was a music lover like me. I regained my composure and waved at her, smiling sweetly. The woman gestured me to come over to her with her finger, and I obliged.

"Hey there, that song of yours makes my whole body get all hot and worked up. Mind telling me where I can get some of that vegetable juice, sweetheart~?" Said the woman.

I was used to this kind of talk, being an idol and all, but I couldn't stop my face from growing beet red for some reason.

"Ah, well, they don't sell it anywhere near here." I said.

"Hm, what a shame. Well, I can always have Tommy Innuts mom get me some." She said.

Tommy Innut. I haven't heard that name in years. See, he was my ex. We had a nice relationship, but after finding out that I had feelings for his mom, he quickly ditched me. Ah, his mother. Such a wonderful woman. Really, I only dated Tommy to see his mom.

"You know his mom?" I asked, maybe a bit to loud.

"Why of course I know her." Replied the woman. "But that doesn't matter right now. I'm ThatVeganTeacher, but, if you want to get really close, you can call me Karen~"

"K-Karen. . . ." I said dreamily. I had just met this woman, and I could already imagine myself yelling 'Karen' in bed. Miku, compose yourself! "I'm Miku, Hatsune Miku!"

"Ooh, I can do lots of things with a name like that. I wonder, is it normal to see such bountiful girls roaming this place? I'm new here, and if girls like you are so common, then I came to the right place. Or, did I just get lucky, bumping into you~" Said Karen with a side smirk that had me trying not to drool.

I twirled a strand of blue hair around with my fingers, an replied, "Ehehe, well there really aren't many people here at all. But I love getting out, and travel a lot. So I don't really belong in this place. Really though, I feel as if I'm the one who got lucky, meeting you."

"Really, Miku? Well, I'm flattered. Ah, Miku. I have a favor to ask of you. Don't worry, I'll make sure to reward you, sweetheart~"

My face was red as an oversaturated photo of chicken wings, and my heart was beating so hard I bet Karen could hear it. I tried to remain calm, and not think about the 'reward' part.

"Anything, Karen."

"Right. I knew you'd say yes, you seem like a good girl. I'd like you to sing with me. That song from earlier had me all worked up, and I'd like to feel like that again." She said, again with that irresistible smirk. 

This was my calling. Singing was my thing. Karen seemed to already know I would say yes, because she was strumming her ukulele already. By the time she had sang the first word, I could feel the rhythm in my heart.

The music filled my soul, and I felt completed after the song was finished.

"May I request one last favor before you leave, Miku?" Asked Karen.

"Yes, of course, anything for you." I replied obediently.

"Wonderful, I'd like to borrow that leek for a moment."

I handed her the leek and she took it gratefully. "Thanks, you're a doll~"

She held the leek to her mouth and kissed it, then handed back to me casually.

"Now you have a souvenir." She said. "Well, I'd better get back to Tommy Innuts mom and feed my dog her tofu. Thanks for showing your gorgeous face and singing with me. Oh, I should also mention the song about vegetable juice. It really got my gears turning, my face still gets hot thinking about it. Well, later kitten!"

Karen departed before I could even ask for her number.
