"On May 16, the death of the young Park Jimin shook his entire community. The sixteen-year-old boy was found unconscious in his room by his mother who had gotten home from work and had gone to check on him. The mother had believed that he was asleep, considering that the nurses usually gave him medication around that time of the evening which tended to make him a little drowsy. However, a few hours later, when his medication should have worn off in time for his second dosage, Ms. Park expressed that Jimin was still fast asleep. This worried her a bit and so she held a conversation with Jimin's personal nurse who told her that she had not administered any medication to the young Park as he was already asleep after she came in. After various checks were conducted, it was found that young Mr. Park was indeed asleep, never awake again."

"Ms. Park had originally thought that the boy's body had finally reached its limit. She had expressed that ever since her son's close friend died a year ago, Jimin's health had started to decline, both physically and mentally. The boy had stopped eating and sleeping altogether and looked as if he was a 'dead man walking around the house', as Ms. Park so put it. The once happy and joyful persona that he was very well known for had dissolved away into nothing and he became a broken shell of the person he once was."

"His friend, Jeon Jungkook, had reportedly been in a car accident and was in a coma due to his brain trauma. After several months of him being in a vegetative state with absolutely no response to treatments, the doctors had advised the parents to pull the plug on him, an advice to which they heeded. Jimin, however, had never fully accepted the fact his friend had died. He forced himself to believe that the boy was still asleep in his hospital room and he was waiting for him to wake up. Ms. Park expressed that oftentimes her son would try to visit the hospital and would throw tantrums whenever she wouldn't allow him to. She even found him speaking as if Jungkook was right in front of him sometimes."

"Months had passed and her son had started writing to Jungkook in a diary. He would skip meals, only eating little bits when his mother would force him to, he would sleep very little to no hours at night, he would zone out in school, being completely unresponsive even to his teachers. He had started to lose weight and soon enough he had begun cutting himself, saying that he wanted to see Jungkook. Jimin soon became too weak and too ill to step outside of his house. His body could barely support him anymore and so after a series of hospital visits, he was on house arrest, was assigned a personal nurse, and was enrolled in homeschooling."

"Because of his already declined physical state, his mother, though distressed and heartbroken, had thought that his body had just given up and had started blaming the nurse in her grief-stricken rage for not taking better care of her son. However, further investigation proved that the boy had actually committed suicide and had died from carbon monoxide poisoning. According to his last journal entry, the boy had ordered the carbon monoxide to be delivered to his home earlier in the afternoon in hopes that he could use it to sleep, like his friend Jeon Jungkook,  in hopes that they would be reunited soon"
