The Unwilling Marriage

Part 34

Sid woke up with a heavy head and saw Sana wrapped in his arms. He recalled everything that happened the previous night. As she slept peacefully, her face had a radiant glow. When he attempted to get up, she immediately woke up. They were still under the quilt. Initially, she was confused, but then feeling embarrassed, she moved a little further away from him.

Sid : Okay, wait. Turn that side. I'll leave from here, then you can change.

She agreed and turned. They both freshened up. It was already 2 pm. Sid had to be at rehearsals at 6 in the noon which got canceled yesterday. Both went downstairs to have lunch. They had not had a conversation since morning.

They were patiently waiting for the food to arrive. Sana was making some noise with the plates and spoons as she looked around, while he simply wanted to talk to her.

He cleared his throat to draw her attention towards him.

Sana : You need water? ( she offered him a glass of water)

Sid : I need to talk

Sana : About yesterday?
She asked with nervousness

He nodded

Sana : See we were both drunk, and it's totally fine if you regret it. I'm not pressuring you or anything.

Sid : You make a lot of assumptions without understanding others perspective

Sana : Okay!!! Tell me what is it

Sid : I have thought about it and want to give us a chance ,like im ready take the responsibilities as a husband, but we can take it slow though not like yesterday, I know we were drunk and did not have the intension of doing it but I don't regret it.

She was completely taken aback

Sana: Are you still drunk?

Sid : No I'm serious shehnaaz

It happened, finally it happened this feels incredible I couldn't have asked for more ,this trip is the best one ever

Where's she lost and what's with the smile, he thought

Sid : Is it too early for you?
He asked as she didn't answer his question

Wait I should hide my excitement and act cool

Sana : No, If you say so I'm okay with it

Sid :  Okay good ( he smiled)

After having lunch, he went to rehearsals, while she did some shopping. They were back in the evening.

Since today was Sunday, the resort had organized a special evening filled with a variety of entertainment.

Sid was attired in a grey leather jacket with black cargo jeans while Sana opted for a light blue palazzo paired with a crop top.

The view was set with a bonfire and Rajasthani folk dance. They were both seated, she held his arm and leaned on his shoulder as they enjoyed the soothing music and dance.

Sid excused himself to take a call. She waited patiently for half an hour for him to return. After that, she tried calling him multiple times, but his phone was unreachable. She proceeded towards the corner when suddenly someone covered her mouth from behind and whispered in her ear, "You will face the consequences for your actions."

Sana glanced to the side, she could only see his grey jacket. When she turned around, he had vanished.

Sana: ( while huffing) Who the hell was he ? And why is he back of me

She was quite frightened, and beads of sweat formed on her forehead. His actions horrified her, and she shivered as she reached for her phone to dial Sid's number once more. At the same time, her dad called her.

Sana's dad : Sana are you fine , sid's dad called and told me about the party incident, you could've informed me
He started talking continuously

Sana : Im not ok dad , that guy  attacked on me just now

Sana's dad: What? Where is sidharth?

Sana : He went to attend a call ,his phone is not reachable

Sana's dad: No need to worry beta I'll send a bodyguard tomorrow

Sana : Nah dad, I'll be alright. Sidharth's with me, and we'll be there in two days anyway.

Sana's dad: Okay please go to your room and lock the door , I will try calling sidharth and be safe ,give me a call as soon as he arrives

Sana : Yes i will inform you don't worry.

She ended the call and saw Sid near the pool, so she went over to him

She gave sid a gentle pat on the back. He turned around as she hugged him. He hugged her back even tighter, and they shared a warm embrace.

Sid : What happened why are you so cold?

Sana : Where were you I called you many times

They were still hugging

Sid : My phone's battery died, and I ran into an old friend. We caught up for a while, and I was about to come see you. Is everything ok?
He asked looking at her flushed face

Sana : That guy was there he told that I'm going to pay for my actions

Sid : Did you see him?

Sana : No, I could only see his jacket, and it appeared to be similar to yours

He looked at his jacket

Sid : Okay!!! Come lets head to our room

She was leaning on the balcony when he arrived and embraced her from behind.

Sid : Are you ok

Sana held his hands that were wrapped around her waist the turned to face him

Sana : Was that you sidharth ? Is this some kind of prank ?

Sid : And you are asking this because his was also wearing same colour jacket ?

Sana : Yeah
She was merely hoping that it was a prank by Sidharth.
