4.The beginning

"Wake up.....Wake up.....Wake up." Pratz's call reminds me of the alarm clock in my home.

"Let me sleep some mo...." I doze again before I could finish my sentence.

Just then a violent, pitiless rain showered on me. I rouse and stare at my roomie. "You are very lucky to have me." She laughs.

"Ughhh.You..." I groan. Before my feet hit the floor, my typical morning process of yawning begins followed by stretching my arms and stiffening my trunk.

I check the phone for today's update. 2 missed calls from Sunny, 27 unread messages but no calls or messages from my parents. I really don't know why they ignore their children. facepalm.

It is our first day of college. I am super excited to find my amazing magic. I had asked Pratz about her magic. Well..even She doesn't know so that put us both in the same jar.

Pratz got ready to go while I am still In my bunny pajamas. She glares at me giving me a warning. "I will give you 15 minutes. Get ready, quick!" She presses her stopwatch.

It took me three minutes to find my toothbrush and again two minutes for the toothpaste. "Gotcha!!!" I was happy to find it for a few milliseconds when I hear Pratz reminding me of having 10 minutes left.

I rush to the bathroom only to come out at the same time to pick up my towel. Then I hurry back to the washroom and again came back to the room to take my shower cap. I let a fake grin to Pratz showing all my 28 teeth (wisdom teeth is not yet arrived at the alveolar socket). She rolls her eyes and checks the time. 7 minutes more.

I closed the bathroom door hard, promising myself not to come out until I complete my task however dementia made me come out once again just to find Pratz standing in front of me holding the soap. "Don't tell me you forgot your inner wears as well." I snatch the soap from her and replied:

"I will be back in 5 minutes, you see." I challenge her.

I come out with fog emerging me because of the extra hot water I used for the bath. Now I look like a demigod. So hot!

"2 minutes." She is now checking her place whether she has left anything behind. It is too tidy that one would automatically remove their sandals before they enter her place whereas all those sandals would be removed in my place considering my bed and surrounding a messy one.

"No more waiting, I am heading out." She ties her shoelaces and looks back when a knock on her head is felt from the back ." I am ready too" I wink.

"But..but You were not ready and how come your bed turned clean so fast. I..." she is dumbstruck after seeing my bed.

"Let's go. We have no time left. My friends will be waiting for me outside." I lock the door. "Friends? You already got friends? So fast." Her words made me feel proud. I rise my shoulder high and walk to the entrance along with her.

"Hey there!!" I wave at them. "Look who's here." Tay and I exchange pats on each other's back.

"This is Prajakta, my roommate. Prajakta, they are Tay, Aarya a.k.a Ru, Ace, Sia, and Sneha. " I
Pointing at each while introducing them.
"Welcome fact- There is nothing on earth more prized than the true friendship." Ru welcomes Prajakta with her fact.

I thought Pratz would hug each of them but to my amazement, she gives them a professional handshake.

We walk towards the campus talking about all the things that happened yesterday night to today morning, starting from the dinner we ate last night to how Pratz made me get ready.

When we reach the entrance, Pratz gets deviated from the location where the hut is situated and her eyes read "stay away" in front of it. "What's in there, Rewa?" She asks.
I tilt my head as I am not sure about it either.
