Recently, Kira had been sending weird messages, the font would be in Wingdings which, nobody in the SPK knew, Near was convinced either Light or Mikami were sending these to mess with him or throw him off, however one in particular had caught his eye, since he'd been learning Wingdings, "near, you will soon feel regret, you will feel sorry, you will regret ever ignoring KIRA, and you will die knowing your pitiful and bloody mistakes" Near looked at the letter, twisting his hair with his other hand "regret..and sorrow? What does Kira think he's doing? And what does he mean by " bloody mistakes"?" Near sighed, maybe this was some sick joke Kira was playing to mess around, and he wasn't having any of it, Near was tired of Kira's tricks, he looked at the other letters, all of them mentioning how Near will feel regret, sorrow, and even pain, what did any of this mean? Why would he soon feel all of these things? And by pain, will Kira make him do something he'd regret and then kill him? No, Kira doesn't even know his real name so that'd make no sense at all. Gevanni came running in, holding a paper "Near! Its Kira, this time the message is in Morse code" he grabs the paper from Gevanni, looking at the message carefully "NEAR, YOU WILL REGRET IGNORING KIRAS MESSAGES, YOU WILL FEEL REGRET AND SORROW FOR THIS." "Its kira telling me I'll feel regret for ignoring him.." "What?! Regret?! Why regret?" "Not sure," Near sets the message down next to the other ones, looking at them with a stern look "kiras crazy, its not like he'll do anything to us, he doesn't even know mine- well, our names.."

Near was sitting alone, staring at all of the messages trying to decipher each one, all of the sudden, Near started to feel an intense amount of pain and doubled over, was he dying? No..no can't be, he never revealed his name anywhere, everything had gone dark before he woke up, he was in the same spot and same room, so he wasn't dead, but everything was different, the lights were out and it was awfully cold, he shakily stood up, guiding himself around by keeping his hand on the wall, where was he? Why was it so cold and dark? Thoughts were running through him before he spotted a dim light in a room, he walked towards the light, feeling the air getting warmer and warmer as he got closer, inside the room, all the screens were white with the 'L' in the middle, almost like L was calling him, in the center was a large candle that somehow managed to warm up the whole room with a paper in front of it "..huh?" "I told you you'd regret ignoring me" the candle went out, so did all the screens, a voice could be heard "near...near!...Near!" he jolted awake, seeing Halle next to him "you alright? You've just been staring at these papers blankly for 2 hours..were you just lost in a train of thought?" Near didn't know how to respond, let alone the fact he was apparently in the strange place for 2 hours, "I..I guess, I must've lost track of time" "what's wrong? you sound a bit upset about something" "it's nothing, Halle" she sighs, getting up to leave Near alone again, he stared at the ground, wondering what had just happened, how could he have been there for 2 hours? was it from all of that walking down that hall? no, he knows the hall wasn't even that long, it felt like only 20 or 30 minutes he was there, 2 hours just seemed ridiculous to him
