TIME SKIP
"... has Silver Scorpion become a Kryptonian wrecking ball?" a reporter asks, "Actually, I believe there might be a third Kryptonian on Earth, this 'rookie' hero could use some serious training from the real capes..." a male joins in, Kara jumps off the couch, offended, "Well, you try saving a plane for the first time. See if you don't make a mess." Kara says angrily, the door to our flat opens and Alex rushes in. Kara hugs her tightly, cracking her back, she immediately releases her, apologizing profusely. "Kara what were you thinking?" Alex questions, dumbfounded at her blatant disregard for her own safety, "You exposed yourself. To the world. You're out there now, Kara," Alex says, pacing back and forth like she does when she's angry. "You can't take that back," Alex says, her voice raising, "I didn't travel 2,000 light-years to be an assistant," she exclaims, "But that's what you chose! You chose to live as a human, Kara, that's gone now," Alex exclaimed back, worried about how brutal the media can be. "And she's allowed to change her mind, Alex," I say, trying to diffuse the situation while also backing Kara up.
"I finally got to help people and you're upset?" she questions, "I'm just worried Kare," Alex says, Kara slowly blinks at her, 'oh, no,' I say in my head, "You were so supportive when Kala wanted to be a hero! But when I decide to help people, you decide to become over protective!" she yells in Alex's face, "She was trained by Kal-El for an entire year before she came out as the 'Silver Scorpion,'" Alex exclaims, I blush, "Kara just saved your life, Alex, I think you should cut her some slack," I say, standing in between the two fuming women. "Of course you take her side," Alex says loudly, "Don't yell at Kala, she didn't do anything," Kara says, jumping to my aid right away, "It's late, we're all upset, why don't we go to sleep and talk about this with clear heads?" I offer, watching Alex nod and walk out.
Kara and I get ready for bed in silence, "Thank you," she smiles at me from across the room, "For what?" I ask, unsure, "For sticking up to Alex, I know you don't like conflict within the family," she says, walking over to hug me. "Alex might be my sister but you, Kara, you're my other half, I couldn't survive without you," I explain, hugging her tightly. "You're my lifeline," I whisper, tightening my grip in our hug, "I love you, Kala," she says, pulling away from the hug, "I love you too, Kara," I smile, walking over and climbing into my bed, we exchange 'goodnight's and fall asleep quickly.
