*~*
I took my phone out my pocket and started dialing my moms number. I was so mad by the time I got the number right, after the third try my mom had already called me herself.
"Hey sweetie where are you, Im out in the front of the school" she said as I picked up the phone.
"Im coming out and, I really don't know how to tell the sides apart in this damn school, so if you see me just honk really loud, Bye." I said and made my way down stairs and out the school. As I walked down the steps outside of the building to the sidewalk I heard so many people chatting and gossiping, a few girls were talking about Gavin, but not about me and, him. Just about him.
I was glad that I wasn't brought up in anyones conversation, although I did get a whole pound of dirty looks. I realy had no choice but to ignore it and let it go because well I don't care. I walked down and tried to look for my moms car, I really had no I dea where the front of this school was.
I stood on the top of the stairs and looked around just incase I saw the car from far away. I kept looking around and jus happened to hear my name being called out from a-far. I didn't realize at first but then it came closer and closer. I turned to see Gavin running down the steps which semed to be to my direction. I quickly turned away and pulled out my phone prettening to be on the phone with some one and, headed down the steps.
I couldn't walk away more than five feet from the damn place because I had no idea where my mom was. For a good two minutes I didn't hear or see him near me. But then all of a sudden I felt someone put their hands on my hips and pull me into them from the back.
"What the Hell Gavin" I turned and stepped back to look at him. He was no longer looking at me and he looked really mad.
We stood there just looking at each other for a minute. I felt his eyes just burning into my soul. I started moving towards him and before I knew it I was standing so close to him, barley inches away. I looked down and I could feel his fingers on my face. Lifting my chin so I was now looking at him. He came closer and hugged me. I didn't move or respond to the hug in anyway. I just stood there and slowly dropped my head on his chest and just closed my eyes.
"Alice" I felt him whisper into my ear. Which was being covered by my fringe because of the position my head was resting on him. I raised my eyes at him without moving my head. I can see his beautifuly structured bones along his face. His perfectly shaped jaw and, his painful tense face, looking away. I looked away quickly but couldn't help looking back at him. I could hear him mumbling something still looking away but I couldn't tell what he was saying. I rested my head on him forgetting that we were in public and, mad at each other, until I felt something hit my arm.
"What the-" I pulled back and looked around. I didn't see anything or anyone.
"What's wrong?" he said puzzled.
"I don't know, something just hit my arm." I said looking around. I looked down at my arm and I could see blood making its way through the fabric of the thin jacket I had on. I looked at Gavin in surprise and he stepped closer to me.
"Come, give me your bag." he said and I did so. He took off my jacket and tried to see why I was bleeding.
"Ah!" I cried out. The pain was really bad and it hurt me like hell.
"Sorry, it looks like something seriously stabbed into you." he looked up at me careful not to touch the part of my arm that has been sliced open. From the looks of it, there was a bit of damage there.
"I have a t-shit in my bag, maybe we can just tie that wi-" I said while trying to hide my squals of pain.
"NO! Lets go we can still try and take you up to the nurse" Gavin said just about to pick me up.
"HONKK HONK!!" we both heard and turned in awareness. I saw my moms car across the street.
"Thats my mom, can you please walk me to the car?" I said trying to grab my bag while gripping onto Gavins shoulder.
*~* "What the hell is going on Alice!" my mom said leaping out of the car.
"I don't know I was standing there with Gavin- oh this is Gavin by the way" I said and they shook hands.
"So we were standing and something hit my arm the next thing I knew I had blood seeping through my jacket." I said with as much confusion in my eyes as my mother.
"Well lets go I'll take you to the hospital because I don't need you getting your arm infected and cut off. Your friend can come too" my mom said and climbed back into the car.
"Gavin, you don't have to come" I said as he walked me over to the other side of the car.
"No Im going wheather you like it or not, I want to know that you're safe." He said as he opened the passenger door for me. I climbed in and he got in the back. I had tied my t-shirt around my arm because I didn't feel like having my moms brand new freaking audi stained in my blood.
*~* We pulled away onto the road and the next thing I knew I was awake in a hospital bed. It was dark and smelled like plastic and medicine. I couldn't see anything because the lights in the room were dimmed real low.
"Hello?" I can feel my voice crack at the end of my sentence. I looked around not able to see anything. I tried to scoot myself up to a sitting position but before I can move I felt the worst pain flow through my arm all through my body. Causing me to let out a loud obnoxious cry.
"Ahhh!!!" I yelled and heard something loud hit the floor.
"Whos there!" I yelled, this time sitting up not regarding the ridiculously painful feeling I got in my arm.
"Alice, it's me" I heard a familiar voice at the far end of the bed.
"Gavin?"
"Is that you?" I said trying to look around and find his body. I think they somehow got my contacts out of my eyes because everything was so damn blurry and I couldn't see anything.
"Yeah, shh you're supposed to be sleeping." I heard him whisper from across the room. I could hear him walk down to what seemed to be the door, which happened to be shut. The room got a bit lighter but it still seemed to be dark enough for me not to notice him walk over to me.
"Why are you awake? The doctor said you should be out for another two hours." I heard Gavin say as I felt his hand on my waist.
"Well they lied, and what the heck happened why am I here and why don't I remember anything?" I said rubbing my eyes. I completely forgot about our little fight earlier and disregarded it completely.
"It doesn't matter, all that matters is that you're okay" he leaned closer and layed a kiss on my forehead.
"Gavin?" I whispered and took hold of his neck gently before he can move away. He didn't respond but leaned closer and rested his head on my shoulder. In a way to let me know that I should go on.
"Im sorry, I don't know what happened today this is all happening so fast. I mean literally way too fast. All that has happened so far, this whole day it's driving me nuts." I said taking a deep breath.
"On my first day of school I expected to go home with a new phone number of a new friend, if I even made any. Not wind up in a hospital bed with a guy that makes my blood boil and heart race for no damn reason." I said before I could realize what just happened. I think I just told Gavin something I didn't want nor was sure I wanted to.
"I- I make your heart race?" I can feel him now off of my shoulder.
"Im sorry I-didn't mean to-" I said trying to turn away.
"No, no don't be sorry, Alice I want that to be the reason that you get nervous and your heart skips a beat I want to be the person that makes you feel this way. I don't know why this is happening and, I know it's crazy but- but I think I might be falling f-" I turned and leaned into him before he can finish. Placing my hands around his face I can feel him lean into me as I felt his lips on mine.
