Kenma's POV:

He panted, glancing over his sleeping sister. He then looks at the scar his father has just given him. Bruises can be seen, very clearly, on his arms and some scratches can also be hidden on his forehead.

His father has thrown some sharp things on his head, and sometimes punch, slap or pull his arms. He sighed, locking the door very quietly.

He looks at his sleeping sister. Aiko has gotten more scars than him, which makes it harder to hide them or heal them. He pulled out his phone and saw a new message from his very best friend, Y/N.

Kuro is his best friend, too...but he hardly ever talks to him anymore. It was getting to spring, which is when he graduated. He doesn't know if he could even trust Kuro anymore. The last time he vented out to Kuro, he told Bokuto, and Bokuto couldn't shut up about anything... So he told his team, and soon the "rumor" spread into his school.

But he can trust Y/N...at least he hopes so.

Y/N:

Kenmaaa!

I'm so bored :/

Can we call each other?

...

If you don't respond now I will spam you.

Oh no. Kenma thought. Y/N spamming was his nightmare, she is definitely annoying, but she was fun to talk to. Very quickly, he types out a response.

Kenma:

Wait wait

No

I'm here

I was busy

Y/N:

Busy?

I guess we can't call each other now...😞😞😞

Kenma:

I mean...

Sure

Y/N:

YAY!

Really?

Kenma:

Yea

"Hey, Kenma!" Her voice called out, "Your ceiling certainly looks pretty." Kenma could see her face, it's---to him, it's very pretty. Kenma's phone was pointed up to the ceiling, he turned the volume down a little bit so that his father wouldn't hear it. "Show me your face!" Kenma glanced around and peaked outside his bedroom a little. Father must be sleeping right now...

Kenma adjusted his phone for Y/N to see his face. "Hey, Y/N." His soft, raspy voice greeted her.

"You look tired, are you okay?" Y/N almost instantly asked. No... "Yea, I always look like this." He replied. It was half of the truth, He is always kind of looks tired.

"Really? I mean, sure. Why's your room so dark?" The questions. He learned that Y/N was a curious girl and wasn't afraid to ask questions. He answered them all, some were honest answers...the others were excuses and lies.

Not that he wanted to lie, it was for his own's sake and her own safety.
