"Thank you Ferran, the pleasure is all mine." he said through the little earbud.

His screen lit up and a photo of his five year old son Noah popped up. The little boy was eating ice cream.

"Noah can't wait to see you..."

His face immediately relaxed and a huge grin appeared on his lips from the message of his wife.

The call was still going but for a short moment his eyes closed and everything seemed to go quiet.

"Alright. Have a nice one, goodbye!" And with that he hung up and let out a relieving sigh. The big skyscrapers caught his eye. It was already dark outside and the streets of New York were getting emptier.

"Happy Birthday!" Toni, his
co-worker said while holding a cake made of red bull cans with a burning candle on top. "I thought we said no presents." Harry said with a smug smile on his face, looking into Tonis eyes. "You look like you need it. Stop making such a big thing out of it every year. Take it." She said laughing. Toni handed him the cans and Harry blew out the candle. "Thank you Toni."

The lights went out.

The whole building was dark.

" That wasn't me." Toni exclaimed. Harry turned around.
Only to find whole New York City in the dark. He slowly stood up with a confused look on his face. Toni walked over to him. Both standing on the big window.

They were now walking down the stairs. "What happened?" He spoke into his phone while holding a flashlight in his other free hand, Toni walking next to him. " We don't know. Whole New York City is dark." The male voice spoke out of Harry's phone.

Harry opened the big metal door that lead to a huge meeting.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please stay calm. I'll update you as soon as I now something new." Toni spoke with her slight Scottish accent.

Harry came back from the crowd, putting his phone into his pocket and clapped two times to get everyone's attention.

"Ladies and Gentlemen I'm sorry to inform you that there's a general blackout all over New York City but I'm sure the lights will come back on very soon. So I beg you to please stay patient. But for now, everyone to the bar. Let's have a drink. Champagne's best when it's cold!"

Harry said and with that everyone did so.
