Magic isn't always good or evil. It chooses. The magic a Bearer holds is forever bound with him or her. One uses another.... A simultaneous relationship of sorts. However, with anything outside the boundaries of living beings, the magic takes over. If you were a selfish bastard, you become evil. If you were kind and selfless, you were good.
Most people know the infamous quote: "With great power comes great responsibility." Well, this applies more so to the Bearers. They keep the secret that their ancestors have kept for centuries upon centuries. If any humans found out that there were a species more highly evolved than them, war and darkness would reign.
Nobody needs a war.
As the population grows larger, the secret becomes harder to contain. More and more spirits become evil due to the ever-growing selfishness of society. The ever-growing popularity of the supernatural begins to take hold, resulting in more panic from the people.
Magic will be put to the test in the ultimate battle of good vs. evil. The question is, with the evil, will good win this time?
