(6) Playdate gone wrong

Marinette pov:

  I was watching over Manon, more like chasing her around the living room, because she took my unfinished hat. I thought I found her, but I just found a doll that looked like her behind the curtain.

  "I'm gonna vote for Mireille, she's the best!" I turn around to see Manon with my phone in hand.

  I quickly walk up to her and snatch my phone back, as I do though, she takes back my hat that was in my other hand.. I just got it that hat back too..

  Ugh... Why did I agree to do this again..? Oh?

  I was shocked to hear a knock at my door. I walked over and opened the door. I was surprised to see both Alya and (Y/n) standing there.

  Wait- (Y/N)!?

  What is she doing here?!

  Why is she with Alya?!

  Did Alya bring here here??!

  Do I even look alright?!?

  "Hey there, Marinette. I was just wondering, if you'd like to go to the park with me and Alya." (Y/n) smiled at me.

  "Now?? We're going to the park, right now??"

  "Hmm, if you agree of course." Alya winked playfully at me, as she nudged her shoulder in (Y/n)'s direction.

  "Uhh, who are they?"

  I look down to see Manon, she was looking at the female's infront of me with curiosity.

  "Oops, I forgot about this little detail." I laugh nervously, while rubbing the back of my head.

  "And who's she?" Alya asked, while waving at Manon.

  "This is Manon, one of my mom's friends daughters. I'm watching her all afternoon, oh no! I can't go out then!"

  "Was this another thing you just 'couldn't say no' to?" I turn to (Y/n) who was kneeling infront of Manon, but she had her head tilted back to look up at me.

  "No! I just.. Couldn't.. say.. no.." I sulked and deflated, when I realized she was absolutely right.

  "Look, no problem! I can look after your little 'detail' for you." Alya said as she glanced at Manon, who was smiling at (Y/n).

  Manon then ran away with (Y/n) chasing after her, "Thanks, but I'm responsible for her. Besides, I couldn't do that to you. She's, an absolute 'angel'..!-" I was cut off from the sound of something falling.

  We both turned to see one of my moms favorite pots about to fall. When it was about to hit the ground, (Y/n) swooped in and caught it.

  Well that saves me a life's worth of being grounded..

  (Y/n) soon walked back to us with Manon holding her hand.

  "Your just a pushover Marinette. I have to babysit my sister's, all the time. Which makes me an expert at dealing with 'angels'." Alya said as she glanced down to Manon.

  "Who are your guys anyway!" Manon asked not so kindly.

  "I'm a mythical unicorn from the world of 'Rispa'!" Alya faked a story.

  I watched as (Y/n) also joined in, "And I'm a mythical dragon, from the world of 'Nahira'!" She said. [Na-hi-ra]

  "We're both disguised as beautiful human females. I grant magical wishes, but only to little monkeys who behave!" Alya said as she booped Manon on the nose.

  Manon laughed, "No your not!..Are you?" She asked as she tilted her head to the side.

  "C'mon little hatchling, we're going for a little fly!" (Y/n) exclaimed as she picked Manon up, and carried her around the room. Airplane style.

  (Y/n) eventually handed Manon to me, I was now caring Manon on my shoulders.

  "Alrighty then, let's go to the park." Alya said as she walked out with (Y/n) by her side.

  I sighed and shook my head with a smile, as Manon got more energetic when hearing the word 'Park'. I quickly followed then while making sure to locked the door.

  We walked of my house and headed to the park, and there we saw Adrien doing a photoshoot.

  We walked past him and he waved at us, his photographer gave him a pointed look and her turned back.

  We eventually made it to a bench and we sat down, Manon saw a person handing out balloons and she just 'had' to get one...

  "Marinette! I want a balloon with Mireille on it! Can I? Can I?!" I wanted to spend more time with (Y/n)... But I am her babysitter...

  As I walked up to the man handing out balloons, I got one and handed it to Manon as I searched for my wallet in my purse. Once I paid, Manon immediately grabbed my arm and dragged me to the nearby merry-go-round.

  "I wanna go on the merry-go-round!!" She yelled.

  "No no no, not right now. I- I've gotta get back to (Y/n-.. Aww.." I was about to complain, when she showed me my one weakness..

  The baby doll eyes...

  "You promised! You aren't going to break your promise... Are you..?" She asked in a sad tone, with a pout.

  "Oh please not the baby doll eyes.. You know I can't say 'no' to them-" This kid just reinforced her baby doll eyes...

  It was so cute... But so not fair..

  As I was in my own thoughts, Manon had dragged me to the merry-go-round once again. I had just placed Manon on a seat, when Alya came running towards us.

  "They needed an extra to pose with Adrien, and (Y/n) was right there!" She panted as she pointed into the distance where (Y/n) was.

  (Y/n) was scratching the back of her neck while smiling nervously at the photographer infront of her.

  "...Is that your girlfriend?" I whipped my head to look at Manon.

  "What?! No! Uh, I mean.. yes..? No!" I yelled my reply.

  Manon just looked at me confused, then looked back at (Y/n) and turned back to me. "Your dating a dragon?"... I decided to not answer her.

  "You have to stop them!" Alya yelled to me.

  "But, what about Manon?" I gestured to the girl on the toy unicorn seat.

  Alya gave me a pointed look, and made me move to the side. She then sat on the same unicorn Manon was on, just behind her.

  "You take care of princess charming, and I'll take care of Miss unicorn here. You don't know how to control her anyway." Alya smiled at me.

  "No way! Marinette's my babysitter." Manon said smugly.

  "Trust me, unicorn's unite! Let's go to Rispa, and find us some sad little village kids, and grant those wishes! Yee-ha!!" Alya yelled.

  "Yee-ha!!" Manon yelled right after.

  I smiled at Alya for her help as I turned around and ran towards (Y/n), I was stopped by a scream. I turn back around to see a female floating in the sky. She waved her 'wand' thingy- whatever it is, and made a huge gust of wind!

  It had blown away everyone nearby, but the wind didn't stop there.. It had whirled around the merry-go-round, trapping it in ice.

  So much for a 'fun' playdate at the park...
