Through out humanity's history there has been a hidden society called the order. The order's purpose is the elimination of monsters and beings that threaten humans. The order has covered up their existence as myth, legend and even holy scripture for thousands of years and have established themselves as every major religion. The war between the order and creatures has dragged on for centuries until the great truce. In the year 1879 a order ship heading to New York was intercepted by a kraken controlled by beings like mermaids with their lower halfs of different aquatic creatures and the upper half are human. They propose a treaty that they will stop an hostility against humans unless in self-defense. With that the first treaty was signed and after that other races came forth and signed treaties that ceased war against there clans and races. And so the order went after only monsters that can't be resond with like ghouls, werewolves and other creatures. The order also started watching resting places of the gods which only the highest ranking members know the locations. After years of peace the order became a police force monitoring the monster world hunting those that are pure evil and not getting involved in humanity's wars until the rise of the nazi party in Germany.

With the rise of nazi Germany the branch of the order stationed in the country where getting rounded up along with the people Germany decided to remove. After that the war in Europe spread where ever the nazis went they ransacked the order's safe houses and stealing the knowledge that was locked with. The order now under attacked just like the rest of the world got involved with the second world War. With the war going on numerous monsters have fled the German occupation of Europe or have been driven out of their lairs. Even in the war in the pacific and Asia have caused such creatures to flee or cause havoc to anything they come across. As the war dragged on and the allies started pushing Germany and Japan to brink of defeat they started finding the consequences of such a large war. Creatures that feed on the dead and dying have spread and multitude into huge numbers, but the worst was what the found. At some compounds they have found strange labs experimenting on monsters to what the nazis where looking to achieve are still a mystery also at the end of the war the order learned that a small faction was the ones conducting the experiments on monsters. The faction on this have never been captured for questioning and so five years after the war has been spent on rebuilding ,containing and relocating the monster race. But this story doesn't focus on Europe or Asia, but of the USA where a veteran of the war has been stationed in the state of Iowa to deal with the occasional crisis of a rampaging monster or to cover up any discovery by people outside of the order.
