I like her

Jangmi didn't even realize that the tears were already streaming down her face

Jangmi didn't even realize that the tears were already streaming down her face. She wiped them with the back of her hand and sighed. Feeling that running into Sunoo would be way worse, she was relieved and happy to run into Beomgyu instead.

"Let's get you to the washroom," he said as he held onto her shoulders gently and led her to the washroom for her to wash her face. He didn't enter, but he did stay by the door just in case she needed anything.

When Jangmi exited after a few minutes, the boy looked at her sympathetically. "You look better," he commented, attempting to lighten her mood. He took her arm gently and wrapped it around his arm—like how he knew she usually would do with her best friend—to try and lighten her spirit a little bit, especially since he knew that was naturally a touchy-feely person.

The girl kept her head down, staring only at her shoes at they walked to the classroom. It was almost time for class, which made her wonder if time was ticking too slow or too fast at the moment. She was no longer in the mood, not wanting to sit in class and push the heaviness away since she knew it would become even heavier.

"Do you want to talk about it? It's okay if you don't want to though. I don't mind," He said carefully. The girl took a deep sigh and looked at her friend. "He confessed," she said sadly which made Beomgyu confused. If Sunghoon confessed, why would she be crying? Her tears didn't look like tears of happiness, they looked like tears of pain and sadness. It took him a few seconds to realize that the person who confessed was not who he thought it was.

"Who confessed, if I may ask?" He saw his friend gulp in nervousness before responding.

 "Heeseung oppa."

Although they were not in the same year, he knew the name because the older boy was popular around school and was friends with Sunoo and Jangmi. But, he didn't really know how he was a person. He's just always assumed that he was nice since his other friends were nice too. "Isn't he your friend? Yours and Sunoo's friend?"

"He shouted at me and then tried to kiss me."

"He tried to what?"

Beomgyu was in disbelief at what he heard. He couldn't believe that someone would do that to Jangmi—and out of all people, it had to be someone he knew she trusted. With how shaken she was, he felt his heart break as he pulled her closer to him by moving his arm to fall loosely around her shoulders. "We have to tell Sunoo."

The girl furiously shook her head. "No," she breathed out. Her friend looked at her confusingly. "No? But Jangmi, this is serious! He needs to know—"

"They're best friends, Beomgyu! If he finds out, I'll be the cause of their downfall. I can't do that to them."

All he did was sigh in frustration, running his hand through his hair. He shook his head at the girl disappointingly. "Fine, I won't tell him. But, just know that he's bound to find out sooner or later, even if it won't come from you."
