A small smile was plastered on my face while I was driving back to our house. I actually don't know why I told Lili my problem. I just felt comfortable with her even if it's the first time we talked to each other
Jung-hwan: Where have you been?! Mom was so worried!
My cousin immediately interrogated and scolded me. Geez, I just got off my car
Jungkook: I'm sorry, okay? I just needed to breathe. Dad's death isn't that easy for me, y'know?
Jung-hwan: //sighs// Let's go, they're looking for you
We went inside and I saw my aunts, uncles, and cousins
Jk's Aunt: Where in the world did you go, Jungkook?
Jungkook: I'm sorry, auntie. I just wanted to breathe
She sighed and nodded. I decided to check on dad... inside his casket
Jungkook: Hi dad, I'm back. I met someone today, her name is Lalisa Manoban. I call her Lili because she's cute hehe. She told me that you probably want me to be happy but sorry, I still can't. The wound is new so it can't heal yet
I sighed looking at his face
Jungkook: I miss you already, dad
I smiled a little
Jungkook: Hmm... about Lili, should I introduced her to you?
Jung-hwan: Who's Lili?
He suddenly asked
Jung-hwan: Your girlfriend?
Jungkook: Nope, just a new friend. I met her at the school field. Her name is Lalisa Manoban
Jung-hwan: Then why are you calling her Lili?
I shrugged my shoulders
Jungkook: It's cute, it suits her. She calls me Kookie haha
Jung-hwan: You just met but you already have an endearment
He teased and I didn't respond
Jung-hwan: I wanna meet her
He said while smirking
Jung-hwan: Is she pretty?
Jungkook: Can't deny that she is
Jung-hwan: Now, I'm more interested in her
Jungkook: Tsk.. I don't think she'll like you, to be honest
Jung-hwan: But I think I'll like her
He smirked again
Jungkook: I better protect her then
Jung-hwan: You like her?
Jungkook: We just met, remember? I just don't want to see another girl crying over you
He just patted my back before sitting down. I looked at dad again. I smiled before sitting down at the front row. I just stared at dad's casket
Jungkook: Why did you have to leave so early?
I whispered because I can't help but ask. My eyes went teary again
