*1 Month Later-
I swallowed hard as we pulled up by the docks. There, one last ship waited for me and the last of the elves. In just a few minutes, we would be leaving for the Grayhavens. I smiled at Frodo and Bilbo, who sat across from me.
"You guys didn't have to come to see me off..." Opening the door, I climbed out and helped Bilbo climb out. "I mean, this is it... Goodbye." A gentle hand rested on my shoulder.
"No, Era... Bilbo is coming with us." I turned and looked up at Gandalf, who smiled at me. "He wished to join the last shapeshifter for one final journey." I nodded and smiled back.
"If only Mother were here..." He nodded and nodded towards the ship.
"Best be climbing aboard, Era." I nodded and climbed up onto the boat. Seeing Lord Elrond, I smiled.
"My lord..." He smiled back at me.
"I've found that it is best not to dwell on the past, Era..." I nodded and hung my head as I turned and watched Bilbo and Frodo climbing aboard the boat. Legolas stood on the dock with Gimili, which made me frown.
"Aren't you coming, Legolas?" He shook his head.
"No... I have nothing left to hope for except the lands I've come to call home." I felt my heart sink. Truth was, I was going to miss this place, but Lord Elrond had informed me that there have been sightings of shapeshifters and skinchangers in the Grayhavens. My best option was to go along and check it out. I smiled and nodded to him.
"Goodbye, Legolas of the Woodland realms... Goodbye, Gimili of Erabor... I'll never forget either of you." As we started to set sail, I approached Frodo. "I hope we can still be friends, master Baggins..." He smiled at me.
"You helped me so much until we were seperated, Era. Why wouldn't we? Besides, I hope to help you find your kin." I nodded and watched as Middle Earth disappeared in the distance.
"We may find my kin, and we may not..." Looking back at him, my smiles grew slightly. "Either way, I do always value an adventure." He smiled back.
"To the Grayhaven and all beyond all we've ever know..."
