Emmett's POV

I got my stuff and walked out of the cafeteria, swinging a right to the closest staircase. It was empty, just like always. I pushed open the door and walked up the first flight of stairs and came to a sudden stop. To my surprise Alba was there, waiting for me?

"Oh, um hi. I promise im not stalking you! I just...knew you go up this way, and I just..." She looked at her black converse. Something was wrong. when she looked back up her eyes, they seemed empty, glazed over by something indescrible."I don't think its a good idea if we sit together." My heart dropped.

        "Why?"

"We come from diffrent social classes. I'm cheer captain, president of the drama, broadway, newspaper, and creative writing club. And you're just some idiotic skater boy looking for an easy way to get up the social rankings. Sorry to get your hopes up. But it will never happen between us." Her eyes revealed a hint of shock and then the glazed look returned. Alba bit her bottom lip and walked down the stairs, not even looking back at me.

The late bell rang and I decided that English wasn's so important anymore. I climbed another flight of stairs cursing under my breath as i walked through the halls with the students who were either rushing to class, or pretending to rush to class to trick the idiot security guards who roam the halls.

That fucking bitch. she really thinks she can get in the way of me and Alba? What am i saying. There is no me and Alba...not yet anyway. When i get my hands on that conniving bitch there will be- My ranting was suddenly interrupted as i bumped into someone, her papers flew everywhere. "I'm Sorry." I muttered angrily as i helped pick up the mess of papers on the floor. The security guards looked at us and continued on their merry way down the corridor.

"It's all right Emmett, where are you off to?" The use of my name made me look up at the girl. All my anger dissolved as I saw my sister Sarah.

        "No where important, Sar."

"Bullshit." I handed her the papers she dropped and she shoved them into her bag. Unlike me she had blonde hair. We do have the same eyes though, as do the whole Deman family. "Get to class."

        "You cant control me Pipsqueak."

"I may not be able to control you Giant, but I know people who can, what do you think mom and dad would say if they find out you were cutting class?"

"You're all talk and no walk Pipsqueak." Pipsqueak and Giant are the nicknames we call each other because of our big height difference. Sarah looked at me with a smirk.

"Tell me where you're going and I won't say a word." What the hell was i suppose to say? I'm going to cut a bitch? That wouldn't end well, she would ruin my plans.

        "Fine. I'm going to class."

        "I'm walking you."

        "I'm not a child Sarah!" I hissed

"But you do act like one. Now start walking." She kicked my shoe and we began to walk down the hall to the C wing. Sarah attempted to make small talk. "So you finally listened to me and talked to her. how'd it go? Is she nice?" I didn't want to hear about Alba.

"Can you just shut up and walk faster."

"Don't get your panties in a twist. I was just asking."

"Just mind you're own damn business for once." She rolled her eyes and i opened the door to C-213 and walked in putting on my best smile. "Sorry I'm late. I was at the Guidance Councilor's office." I looked back and saw Sarah shaking her head at me through the single window on the door."

"It's alright Mr.Deman please just take a seat. Today we are beginning Romeo and Juliet, one of the most famous love stories." I zoned out falling into a black hole of angry that seemed to consume me. I needed Alba. Wanted her. No one is going to get in the way of my plans.
