Chapter 8: The Escape

Y/N POV

It's been like a whole month since I was kidnapped and I have had enough; the constant tests, awful food, not seeing my friends. I. have. had. enough!

I have devised a plan that I have been working on for a few weeks now. I will go at night time so that there will be less people that could see me. After all the training my powers have been getting stronger so hopefully I can break the lock on my door. Dr Brenner said my powers can't do that but I have a feeling he's bluffing and just trying to make me scared so I won't try and escape. God I wish I could spatial jump like Five Hargreeves. (My Umbrella Academy fans will get me 😂☂️ )

After being here so long I kinda know my way around and if I go the same way as last time I should get away. Oh and the security footage is all stored in one room so if I shut it off they can't see me leave, I just need to figure out where and how.

They locked my door and shut of the light, I'm going to wait a little bit so that they are definitely asleep. I know that they check my progress after i'm in bed.

It's been a while and I have finished my plan. So, I figured out that on the floor above me where I have to do this weird water finding thing, there is a room with flashing lights and TV's in it ( one time we were walking back down and I saw it) so I think that's where they keep the CCTV stuff.

I got up from my bed and stared up at the camera in my room, I focused on it and lifted my arm in front of me, It shattered 'no way that could still be working.' I thought.

I have to be quick now because I wasn't sure if anyone was watching over the tapes.

I ran to the door and focused on it. With both arms stretched out I used all my energy to break the lock. I was shocked. I knew he was bluffing!

When I tell you I ran out of that room I mean I ran. I didn't know how much time I had until they would realise I was missing.

I went straight to the room that I thought was the CCTV footage was in. I went in and took out all the USB drives because I didn't know which one was for my room and it also meant that I could give it to Hopper and we could shut the lab down.

USB's in hand I ran the same way i had gone last time because I saw the exit.

The door was a few metres in front of me, as I ran the lights turned red and the alarms were sounding. I could hear doors swinging open as Doctors and Nurses were running to find me.

Just as I had my hand on the door knob two hands grabbed my arms.

No.

No, no, no!

I was writhing to get out of their grip dropping all of the USB drives whilst doing so.

I had come so far!

All of a sudden something came over me. Blue energy burst out of my stomach and burst everywhere the doctors that had surrounded me flew against the walls and fell to the floor. (If you have watched the umbrella academy imagine what Vanya did when the bad men were beating Leonard up. )

I have never done that before. It wasn't something Brenner had taught me but I can think about that later because it's not long until some other people might find me.

This was my chance.

I grabbed all the USB's of the floor, sprinted to the door opened it and started running home in the pouring rain.
