✔️Overlooked Love

A/N: So, this story is very fast-paced. I don't plan on editing or updating it as it's finished. I wrote it in elementary school and I was extremely proud of it (its pretty cringe now) but I thought why not post it here. I swear by mint chocolate chip ice cream that I haven't read any story familiar to this on Wattpad or anywhere else. It is a complete coincidence if any story matches mine.

Calvin Jones got married to the love of his life, Emily Anderson. She was the prettiest woman on the planet. Calvin couldn't stop staring at her and smiling inwardly as he thought about how lucky he was to get married to her. They promised each other that they would love one another with all their hearts until death separates them.

January 16th, 2013
Calvin was pacing outside of the hospital room. The doctor had kicked him out after he had started screaming along with Emily while she was in Labour. He continued pacing until he heard crying. Emily had given birth to a baby boy. They named him Jack.

May 2nd, 2016
It was Calvin and Emily's 5th Wedding Anniversary. Calvin had planned a candlelight dinner for Emily and Emily had saved up to get Calvin the new iPhone he really wanted for months. They spent the night together, not worrying about Jack, nor work, nor their financial state. It was just Calvin and Emily, looking at each other and falling in love all over again.

June 1st, 2016
Calvin worked in a Mobile Company as a sales representative. He had been working hard for many years consistently. His hard work made him stand out amongst all the other employees. His boss was extremely impressed by his work so he decided to promote him to manager.

December 13th, 2016
Emily and Calvin had another argument while Jack was at school. Due to the new workload, Calvin wasn't able to give time to his wife and son and it was the reason they had argued. Calvin loved his wife dearly and couldn't bear that his wife was unhappy because of him, and so he decided to hire a secretary.

January 20th, 2017
After many interviews, Calvin finally managed to find a decent secretary, Rosalina. Rosalina was an exceptional worker. It was her first job and she was determined to do her best. Calvin was able to spend more quality time with his family because of Rosalina's dedication and determination. He came home on time and they were able to interact during dinner. They went out almost every Saturday.

March 31st, 2017
Calvin stayed after the rest of the staff had gone home with Rosalina. Nowadays, he spent more time with Rosalina than with his own wife.

Emily was very worried since Calvin did not call home. It had been a regular occurrence nowadays but Emily couldn't help but worry.

While Emily worried about Calvin, Calvin went out on a date with Rosalina and returned home at 11:00 p.m.

This went on for a whole year.

He continued dating Rosalina behind Emily's back while Emily had no clue why her loving husband was suddenly so distant and constantly tried to make it up to him.

1 Year later- Present
Calvin was dating Rosalina for the past year. He would deliberately ignore Emily. He always started a conversation with Jack every time Emily tried to make small talk with him.

At night, he would talk to Rosalina while Emily waited for him for hours to kiss him good night, before falling asleep. After things were starting to get out of control, Emily was determined to solve the problem. She didn't know what was going on for the past year and wanted to know Calvin's side of the story before jumping to a conclusion.
