Kimberly walked back into her room with another box, her last box left to pack. She sighed as she looked around her almost empty room.

Her mother, Gen, walked into the room and over to her. She placed her hand on Kimberly's shoulder before giving it a slight squeeze. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm going to miss your loud, rock music."

Kimberly looked at her mother as she let out a small laugh.

"Don't worry about my music. I taught Arian well." She let out a reasurring smile as her mother laughed more.

'You've grown up so much, sweety. Just yesterday to me you were three, putting on my jewelry and llipstick with my high heels on."

Now it was Kimberly's turn to laugh. She looked at her mom as she caressed Kimberly's cheek, tears forming in her eyes.

Kimberly leaned into her mother's touch before they both embraced each other in their arms.

"I'm going to miss you, mom."

        "I am too, sweety."

Kimberly bit her lip hard as she closed her eyes, letting a tear fall.

After a minute, her mother pulled back from their embrace and wiped the daring tears that stained her cheeks, her beautiful blue eyes glassy.

Kimberly looked at her mother as she looked around Kimberly's room, examining every part of it closely and pulled a few strands of her arburn, brown hair behind her ears.

"You should probably finish packing now, huh?" Gen said and let out a chuckle. Kimberly smiled slightly and nodded, looking around her room as wll as she put her hands on her waist.

"Yeah. Just one last box." Kimberly sighed, walking over to her desk where the box was and started putting her desk things, books, and journals in it. Gen looked around the room one last time before walking out just as Arian walked in.

He looked around the room and sighed. Kimberly turned around and saw him, giving him a small smile.

Arian returned her smile and leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms.

"So, college, huh?" He asked and looked down at his feet before looking back up at her, his bright grey eyes piercing into her ice blue, violet speckled ones.

Kimberly sighed and nodded. "Yeah," She let her lips form into a small pout as she stretched her arms out, making grabby hands at Arian. "I'm gonna miss you. Loads."

"I am too, sis. I can't even believe I just said that."

Arian laughed softly and kissed Kimberly's head. She laid her head on his chest, holding him tightly in her arms. She looked at him after a little bit.

"You'll always be my little brother. I'm always going to be here for you, even if I'm here at home or in Seattle for college, okay?"

Arian nodded and looked Kimberly in the eyes. "Promise?" He asked, tears starting to form in his grey eyes.

"I promise. And you know I keep and never break my promises." She smiled lovingly at him and rubbed his arm. He smiled slightly and pulled her into one last hug.

After a while, Kimberly pulled back from the hug and sighed. Arian reached up and wiped the tears from his eyes, letting his hands fall back to his side once he was finished.
