After our flight, and claiming our rental car, we arrived at a house that Claire was renting for a few days.
Its exterior was a refreshing, pristine beige complemented by flourishing leaves all around.
Christian carefully parked on a spacious area blanketed in smooth pebbles.
Upon stepping out, a cool breath of air brushed against my face, gently blushing my skin.
My hands found security in the toasty warmth of my coat pockets.
Stepping inside, we were greeted by a charming, immaculately adorned interior. Selecting a room at random, I began unpacking the minimal luggage Christian and I had brought with us.
The room was illuminated by a beautiful stream of sunlight flowing through a window of generous proportions. Aesthetically pleasing, it felt welcoming.
I set my bag on the nightstand, rummaging through it looking for my phone to text Jenny.
Settling my bag on the bedside table, I dug through it to find my phone - I needed to update Jenny. As my hand rummaged through the items, I encountered a small foil packet which set my curiosity.
"You're welcome." Ashley teased, appearing at the doorway briefly before disappearing again.
She had sneakily and successfully put condoms in my bag, how she accomplished it was beyond me.
The thought of me and Christian having sex popped into my mind a couple of times but for some reason, I didn't think it would happen now.
There was fear but overshadowed by a deep-seated certainty of our mutual love.
Surrendering this part of myself is a big deal and I don't want to screw it up. After all, it was a singular chance.
And Christian, well, he was experienced.
Thoughts of his previous encounters stirred up unsettling emotions. Knowing he's been with other girls before and now he's with me.
It's like I'm having sex with all of them.
Pushing the unappealing thoughts aside, I determined not to let my tendency for overthinking ruin the moment.
It was certainly risky but one I was prepared to embrace.

Our spirited laughter filled the room, infusing a warmth that knotted my stomach in pure delight.
Suddenly, my phone interrupted the liveliness with a beep - Andrew had arrived.
I take my phone in my hands, a smile immediately growing on my face.
"Your present is here." I sang, getting up from the seat that was at the table.
A contagious smile was on my face as I announced the arrival of Christian's present.
Leaving my seat, Christian's hand momentarily lingered on my lower back, then retreated as I walked towards the front door.
A well-built young man with a head full of brown hair, and striking green eyes, wearing a t-shirt and dark blue jeans greeted me. He carried a bag and an air of intrigue.
