8. kidnapped

I woke up with a peacefully sleeping Liam snuggled into my side. Looking at the clock it was 07:42 am (insert large groan) I so wasn't ready to get up just yet - did I mention I wasn't a morning person? Sighing I untangled myself from Liam who was still sleeping soundly, after slipping my shoes on, I also slipped out the window. Successfully making it to the ground, smiling to myself I walked round to the front of the house. "Evie?" a voice sounded from behind me. Oh shit... "Hey doc" I smiled awkwardly as he walked towards me. "Did you just jump out of my stepsons window?" he asked smirking. "I don't know what you're talking about" I said confidently. "Do you need a ride home?" he finally asked "That would be great" I replied climbing into the passenger seat. The car ride held silence, but it was a comfortable silence at least. Once we pulled up to my house I thanked Dr. Geyer and went to walk away when he shouted me back. "1. your secrets safe with me. 2. ask Jack if he wants a ride" "Alright doc" I smiled running into the house and shouted Jack down the stairs.

"Oh hey kiddo, what's up?" "Docs outside, asking if you want a ride." "Perfect. I'll see you tonight, Chinese takeaway?" "Of course" I smiled before running upstairs and jumped straight into the shower. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched the whole time, but it must of been paranoia, with the whole dead pool on my back. After getting dressed for the day I realised I didn't have a ride, my friend Jake used to drive me to school everyday - but I didn't see much of him anymore, only in class and such. That made me realise that I missed my school friends, so I decided to text the dormant group chat:

Jess: yeah what's up with that?
Jake: Evie's binned up off for those juniors and the new kid🙄
Jamie: guys shes moved on, we should respect that...
Alicia: respectfully kick her ass...
Chloe: wow who's this stranger we let into the gc
Mia: yeno what they say
Evie: it's true... they always come crawling back
Jamie: am I dreaming, someone pinch me
Jess: *pinch
Jake: omg this is real
Evie: I've just had a lot on my plate recently...
Alicia: it's fine babes, we totally get it
Chloe: yeah x
Mia: totally x
Jamie: so stranger, what brings you back here?
Evie: I need a ride..
Jake: I KNEW IT!
Evie: calm down chandler bing..
Jake: i'll pick you up in 10
Evie: ily
Alicia: is this all you came back for👀
Jess: of course not, do you even know our eves
Alicia: calm down i'm just playin
Mia: so now this groupchat exists again, does this mean we can all sit at lunch together
Chloe: yeah we've missed your speaker
Jess: and your indie playlist..
Evie: aww you guys!
Jamie: I haven't listened to Arctic Monkeys in weeks
Evie: i'm glad you value me for my good music taste
Alicia: duh
Mia: duh
Chloe: duh
Jess: duh
Jamie: duh
Jake: duh (i'm outside)
Evie: duh (coming)

Once fully locked up, I bounced into Jakes black jeep "hey stranger" he smiled once I was buckled up. "Hello Jakey, long time no see" I smiled back before putting my sunglasses on. "Nice glasses" he commented whilst driving down the road "nice jacket" I replied. "Nice outfit he fired back" I'd decided to wear a green halter with denim shorts and a black racer jacket with all different logos. Topped with white filas and my usual wavy brunette curls. "Right back at'cha" I smiled cheekily. "Bring the speaker" he asked after a moment of silence "duh" I replied whilst laughing. "Now step on it, everyone's waiting"

After parking up, we hopped out with our arms linked. Making our way to the group I passed Scott and Stiles on the way smiling at both of them. "Hey guys" I cheered once we had met up with the group, "who's ready for Chemistry" I sighed. I heard a chorus of groans and 'don't remind me'. Chuckling we all walked through the school halls together before turning into the classroom. Sighing as we came face to face with pot quizzes on each desk I knew it was going to be a long day...

Lunch came round slower than usual, probably because we had maths. But nonetheless I was excited, I hadn't had a normal day in forever. With my normal human friends, no supernatural in sight. Speaking of supernatural, I haven't seen or heard from Liam all day. Feeling bad about leaving him hanging this morning, I pulled out my phone and text him.
