8: Art

In the school of infiltration... 1st day of mission... Monday...

Lilly and Seven finally get to their classroom and find their seats to drop off their bags. They overhear a conversation about some school rumors.

"I can't believe we have art class later! Do you think the rumors are true?"

"I don't know but I don't want the teacher to think we're crazy."

The two girls see an opportunity to get their job done so they can go home and ask the two guys talking what rumor they are talking about.

"You don't know?" Says one of the guys.

"Well, we're pretty new here so.." Lilly says.

"Ok, so some people are saying that there are psychopaths in the school. Many believe the art teacher is one of them." The other guy explains.

"So, uh, how did all of these start??" Seven asks.

"We don't really know but some popular girl started this story." The guy continued. "Sorry, you don't know my name yet. I'm Kaeya, and this is my friend Childe."

"Hey!" Says Childe.

"I'm Jolene and this is Lily." Seven introduces herself and Lilly.

The teacher enters the room and the students scramble to their seats. Against all odds, Lilly, Seven, Kaeya, and Childe seat near each other. Seven and Kaeya are seatmates, while Lilly and Childe are. Lilly sits behind Kaeya and Childe sits behind Seven. Their first class happens to be an english focused subject and this reminds Lilly of literature class. The teacher told the students to go read some texts and analyze them. Seven dutily follows the teacher, Kaeya and Childe just enjoy the story while Lilly doesn't understand half the text. The teacher leaves them an analysis homework and Lilly was going to ask Seven about the story but she was busy chatting with the boys about the story. Lilly eavesdrops so she can answer the homework.

While waiting for the next teacher, Seven chats with Lilly and explains her excitement for art class and Childe and Kaeya join the discussion and talk more about themselves and the school.

The next class is unfortunately math. Lilly started hating her day. The teacher discussed the lesson but Lilly was pretty much half asleep, understood less than half the topic, and unfocused. The teacher spent the rest of the class giving them a seatwork. This troubled Lilly.

"Hey, Se-- what's your name again.. fck uh.. jOlene. How do you do this??" Lilly whispered-yelled at Seven. Seven didn't hear her and was asking Kaeya how to do the seatwork.

"sEV-- JOLENE!! Fcking Ash's name suggestion.." Seven still didn't hear Lilly. Childe noticed Lilly's attempts to call Seven and tapped her shoulder and pointed to Lilly.

"Finally.. How do you do--" Lilly was unable to finish her sentence since the math teacher slammed her ruler on Lilly's desk.

"Ms. James, focus on your own paper." The teacher said and walked past Lilly's seat.

The class ended and Lilly was able to pass the seatwork thanks to Childe's last minute efforts to teach her.

The students head to the cafeteria for recess. Kaeya and Childe invited the girls to their table but they decided to sit with the team.

At this point you should probs know that the chapters are gonna overlap so the recess here is the same recess as the previous chapter.

Lilly's mad for a couple of reasons. Ok it's mostly seeing lessons and questions about school stuff that bugged her the most, but she keeps thinking it's about Seven's name, since she keeps forgetting and keeps calling Seven, and being left out, which isn't entirely true.
