I wish I could've told you in that moment I loved you. That I wanted to hold you forever. That I wanted you to be mine. But for if I did then I wouldn't be here loving you.

Let's start at the beginning. My name is James, you may not know me but I know you.

We met at McGuire hall you were deciding whether peas would compliment your chicken piece or if you rather have corn. Of course you chose the peas. How impractical. How unsatisfying. For it would've been any other person they would've chosen corn, but it was you.

Now that I look back at it, it makes complete sense that you didn't. Nothing about you was practical. Not your looks, your mannerisms, the way you lit up a room just by being there. No nothing about you was practical you were perfectly impractical.

From the moment I laid eyes on you something inside me stirred. Awakened like a beast hibernating. Something I didn't feel before. You see I have experienced love before countless times. But with you it was more than love.

But what is greater than love? Well it's you. You were greater in any and every way. Your angelic laugh to others seemed comical but to me it felt like Christmas.

I was so nervous upon talking to you that I just stared. I didn't meant to stare for too long it was only supposed to be a second I promise. But I couldn't look away. You were completely and utterly captivating. Like a moth to a flame I was entranced, bewitched.

If I could've said I love you Where stories live. Discover now
