You plop down tiredly onto the side of the fountain in the heart of Mondstadt, your feet dangling slightly against the stone ground. The wind gently caress your forehead and cheeks, cooling down your slightly overheated body. You sigh, satisfied with your work today. Bennett sits down next to you, his wrists moving to rest in-between his knees to prop him up a bit. He takes a deep breath before looking at you with a grin. "Well that was fun, huh?" he asks with a gentle laugh.

You smile back and let out a soft laugh yourself. "Yeah! Tiring... but fun!" you say. Bennett inhales deeply.

"Ah~" he exhales. "Yeah, I have a feeling that I'll sleep really well tonight." You nod with a soft grin. You both look out over the walls of Mondstadt, watching the sunset. Occasionally, you would look over and steal glances of Bennett. You loved the way he looked in this type of lighting. He looked so warm and calm.

As you both gaze off into the sky, a nearby bard began his performance. He played a lyre, as a lot of bards in Teyvat did. It was a nice and slow tune, perfect for the moment that you and Bennett were sharing. Bennett nodded his head along to the melody, humming a bit.

"I've heard this song before." he says with a smile. You look over to him, knowing he has a story. "My dads would sing it a lot to celebrate after a quest they did." He smiles fondly, remembering all the good memories he's had with his Adventurer's Guild family. His head gently sways from side to side.

"Do you...want to dance..?" you ask shyly, a gentle blush appearing on your cheeks as you look at him. His eyes meet yours. He looks a bit surprised by your offer, but he smiles and takes your hand.

"You know I'm a terrible dancer... but that sounds fun." he stands up and gives a little bow, before extending his hand towards you. "May I have this dance?" he asks in a jokingly proper voice. You giggle softly before accepting his hand and standing up.

Your head turns from side to side, noticing that other people were beginning to dance in pairs as well. Your fingers interlace with Bennett's, and you feel a gentle weight on your waist. You look up and Bennett is blushing softly. Your hand reaches up and rests in the crook of his neck. He laughs nervously and breaks eye contact.

"S-sorry..." he says shyly, giving a small grin. "I'm not used to dancing with a partner."

You laughed a bit at Bennett's bashfulness. "Don't worry, Benny! I can lead if you'd be more comfortable with that!" you suggest. He nods, flushing a bit.

You two begin swaying softly to the music. Bennett moves his hand closer to the small of your back, following your movements against the cobblestone ground. He starts to hum a bit to the lighthearted melody of the bard's song, closing his eyes reminiscently.

After a while, you both became more comfortable and natural with each other, dancing more merrily to the music. Bennett smiles widely as you two almost jump around, following the energy of the happy song.

You felt genuinely happy. You were happy for this moment with Bennett, and you could tell that Bennett was too.

You two danced until the stars shone in the dark sky, and the moon illuminated the streets of Mondstadt. Most of the crowd made their way back home. Bennett plopped back down on the side of the fountain. "Whew..." he gasped. "That was fun." he said with a bright smile. You grin yourself, sitting down next to him.

"Yeah, that was really fun." you said, only slightly out of breath. Bennett turns to you. Your eyes meet, and you both just stare for a minute.

Bennett was the first to break eye contact. "Well... We should head home. We have another long day of adventuring!" He stands up with a grin, and reaches out towards you. "I can walk you home if you'd like!" You smile and take his hand, standing up.

"I'd like that."
