Today was just a normal day for Kat. Taking a test in math this period and doing her science homework in Study hall next period.

It was a coincidence that Kat and her group of friends had the same Study hall, considering there was two different periods of it and that Jay preferred band.

Twisting her long jet black hair around her pale fingers, she swiped her side bangs out of her face and she set her pencil down on her desk and looked up to see that Zach was already done with his test.

Jay, Zach, Justin, and Sadie are her best friends ever since they where in middle school. They would meet up after school each day and go to the Skate park or go over Jay's house to play some shooter games.

Kat smiled, thinking of all the fun she has with her friends. When she can be herself and laugh and smile all she wanted without being judged by all the dumbasses in the small school.

But when she looked over at Zach again he was raising his eyebrow and her smile faded.

Kat wasn't much for smiling and laughing in school, but she did when she was out, keeping that a secret in order to keep her 'stay away from her' identity. Kat was smaller than most of the students in her grade, with long jet black hair and pale skin, big round dark brown and silver eyes and with a small scar on the bottom right of her lip. She wears mostly black and the stare that she gives off can wear off any person near her.

The bell rang, making her jump out thoughts and her math teacher said, "Alright class, turn your tests into the front tray and get."

Everyone shot out of their chairs and placed their tests into the tray, gathering up their books and binders and headed out the door.

Kat and Zach walked side by side in the hall way, talking quietly to each other, heading for their next class, Study hall.

"What were you smiling about back there?" Zach asked looking down at Kat, curiosity all across his face.

"Nothing." Kat replied quickly, giving him her glare. Zach just shrugged it off, uninfected by her glare like the rest of her friends, and they continued down the hall in silence. But as they did, Zach kept on looking down at her smirking, but Kat just rolled her eyes at this action.

Zach was quiet like Kat, but not as much as she was. Zach had a athletic build because of him playing basketball. He was one of the tallest students, with short sports cut blond hair and shining blue eyes. Zach looked the complete opposite of Kat, but there personalities are the same when with their friends.

Entering the library, Kat and Zach found Jay and Sadie sitting down at a table in the corner of the room the middle of a conversation.

Kat and Zach walked over to them and Zach set his his books down a little bit to loudly on the table startling Jay and Sadie, stopping their conversation and looking at Zach annoyed. Zach just smiled innocently and said "Sorry."

They rolled their eyes at him as Kat pulled out a chair. Jay smiled at her as she sat down.

Jay was Kat's first friend, going back to elementary school unlike the others. They were very close friends for a long time. Also, he is very popular around the school, being kind to everyone. Jay was a bit smaller than Zach also with an athletic build, playing football a lineman. He has short sports cut light brown hair with comforting sea green eyes, currently covered in his thin rimmed reading glasses.

Like the others, Sadie has been friends with them since middle school. Sadie was a cheerleader and she is kind and sweet unlike the other cheerleaders. Sadie always has her golden blond hair pulled up in a messy bun with her long bangs left hanging out. Dark makeup lined her cloudy grey eyes and light freckles dotted her face. And unlike a cheerleader, she was a book geek.

"Hey Kat, hi Zach! What's up?" Sadie greeted them in her cheerful voice, smiling brightly.

Kat just shrugged, opening her text book and beginning to write down answers. Zach sat in his chair across from Sadie and said, "The math test isn't as hard as you think it is." Sadie let out a long sigh and mumbled, "Good," leaning back in her chair.

Suddenly, there was a thud as the library door swing open and someone came running into the room just as the bell rang.
