Velvet POV
This isn't the chair I was sitting in. I moved my hand on the soft surface, my eyes still closed. What is this? A pillow maybe? I opened my eyes finally, remembering that I was still tiny. I must have been sleep flying. That hadn't happened since I was little.
Huh, hair? Blonde hair? I was laying on Gianni's head. Lifting my self up and flying in front of him I could see that he's still asleep. He looked so innocent, so free of worry. I knew I was falling even harder for him against my will. I let out a sigh as i prepare to shift back to human size, rubbing my eyes and then looking back up to see Gianni's eyes were now open halfway.
A startled sound bubbled up my throat; interrupting my shifting that it happens before I'm ready. I trip over my own feet and tilt backwards. I close my eyes as I anticipate falling over the small table only to feel myself pulled against something soft and hard at the same time. Gianni had prevented me from getting hurt and I hurried to stand up.
"Sorry... Er, thank you as well." I said.
"This is your captain speaking. We will be landing in about 10 minutes." he announced. I sat down and buckled myself back in. Sandra came out of the bedroom stretching as If she just had the best sleep in her life.
"Are you scared of flying?" he asked. Just because he had helped that didn't mean I was gonna automatically start talking to him again.
"What's it to you? Gonna make fun of me?"
"I would." I heard Sandra whisper.
"No. This type of fear is normal for anybody. I just thought you'd be okay with heights since you can fly." he explained.
"I've never flown this high before." I muttered, looking out the window to see that the jet was landing now. The wheels skidded against the ground and I couldn't help the way my grip tightened on the seat.
Once we got off the plane I was wedged in the back seat of a truck between Sandra and Gianni. I felt really cramped and uncomfortable even though there should be more than enough space for the 3 of us. I couldn't wait to get out and lock myself in a room away from them.
Of course it wouldn't happen the way I wanted it to. We had to sign in at the company desk once we arrived there, and then wait for a few others. It was just after lunch time and I was starting to get hungry. I spotted a food table across the room and slipped away from the group momentarily. Everything on the table from fruits, to pastries, drinks and such looked good.
Everything except for the escargot. Snails we're nasty when alive. Why would I eat them just because they were cooked and served on some fancy plate? I scrunched up my nose in disgust, before looking away and grabbing a strawberry jam filled pastry. I nearly moaned at the warm, flakiness of the pastry and the sweetness of the jam.
"Velvet." came Gianni's voice.
"What?" I turned to him with a mouthful of what I was eating.
"The group is about to move into a rift. Let's go." he said; sighing. Probably at my lack of decency while eating. I picked up a napkin and wiped my mouth after shoving in the rest, and then jogged to catch up to them.
Pamphlets about the company were being handed out. These were definitely different from ones given to humans. In the pamphlet, the Rift was mentioned. It was a tear in both time and space that allowed people containing supernatural blood to reach places only they could go. This Rift wasn't really any different from the one in the Adair Manor. Everyone walked close together so they wouldn't get separated and lost.
"We're here." said the show guide. We walked out the rift and into what I could see was the studio. It was so much bigger than our studio. Supernaturals were allowed to show their true forms her. I let out my wings with a sigh.
