Chapter One

I stood infront of the old Weathersmeer Mansion..
It was pretty late, about 1 a.m...I wonder what I might find in there? Possibly just nothing, but this place has been abandoned for decades, there has to be..something to it.

The place was built in 1854, by a Mr. James Weathersmeer for his wife, Sarah Weathersmeer.
James was younger than Sarah, but she was very beautiful and looked as young as a rose budding. So I guess no one minded..

Sarah had 2 kids when she and James wedded, from her previous three other marriages. Sarah and James had 6 more kids, totalling in 8 kids.Which was not unusual at the time. Why do people think their house is scary and haunted? You might be asking yourself. Well its because 6 years after the Weathersmeers wedding, James had died along with all their 8 kids.

Sarah had 'woken up one friday afternoon to see her whole family to been brutally murderd. But many suspect SHE HERSELF killed them. You see, her previous three husband's and any other family they had living in their house was killed as well..

Some thought it was her as she seemed so emotionless on her past husbands funeral. Some defended her as being overwhelmed. But either way, there is definitely suspicious behavior there..

Soon after James had died, Sarah had just..
disappeared..no one saw her since that frightful morning. And every person who has ever been here in the past 50 years as died..so people now think that the Weathersmeer mansion is haunted.

By the way, my name is Y/n, I am a investigator of the paranormal. Oh and the Weathersmeer case has always been my most favorite mystery. And now I finally get to see this place in person.
I walked closer to the place, taking my metal suitcase with all my equipment in it with me.
I am now in front of the creepy, old door. I placed my hand on the fragile, rusted, doorknob. The same door-knob Sarah used when she left that day..this was insane..

I twisted the knob, making it break a little bit, oops. The door made a 'click" sound then as I was going to slowly open it, a gust of wind came and opened it in a very fast, loud BANG of it hitting the wall behind it. Inside was the same as outside. Old, dusty, and mold on every wall..ew.
I went deeper into the house, All the stairs being creaky and old, scaring me every step. But I must go on. Lets go through some theories about Sarah "Weathersmeer" eh?

There are quite a few, but the biggest is, of course..she murdered her whole family, and her previous husband's.And there are many reasons why people think why she might have done this.
Some speculate that her first husband, Daniel Smith was abusive. He was what most would call "possessive". He also had a bad temper. Some say they say bruises on Sarah's legs and arms. But this could just be rumors.

Maybe, his abusiveness got so bad she had to kill him, although, I wouldn't feel so bad for him. But the rest of his family dying (and him) by poison only makes a bit of sense, since she wasn't known to be the brightest.
Second theory is that she was just nuts. Like she was insane and needed to go to a doctor. But most don't.believe that since most people said she didn't have any problems.

Another theory was that she  really didn't kill any of them. That she just kept being in a bad place at a bad time. Or someone had a grudge over her beauty so they seeked revenge..
There are many more theories, but these are the most commonly thought. A few small ones include the she.might have caught them cheating. And one was maybe she was cheating and got pregnant. And but some say its a possibility James got her pregnant. Its so interesting isn't it?

After marking and writing about some of the bedrooms,I walked into a room I don't remember reading about..
It was a small room to the left side of the house, It somehow looked older than the rest, more run-down; More mold and definitely more cracked wooden floors.
There wasn't much in it, just a dusty window and..piano? How- what was a piano doing here? In all.the books I've read and stories I've heard, not one ever said anything about the Weathersmeer's being musically talented.
Maybe since it was to the side of the house it wasn't seen? Or maybe no one thought it was an important detail..I went closer to the piano, it was definitely from the 1850s era. And obviously was covered in dust.
