I didn't like New York. They were home of the New York Yankees and I was a full on Astros fan. Hey. I'm Breelynn. Breelynn Alexander, but you can call me Bree. Yes, My father is the one and only Houston Astros Shortstop Aiden Alexander, so yes, I have always been a huge baseball fan. So I just moved to New York, and today I was going to my new house. Here's what's currently happening. No one was welcoming me when my mom and I stepped out of my cab. I mean I can't really blame them. By "them" I mean 2 people. The Taxi driver and the other person in the Taxi. I'm pretty sure the reason they weren't welcoming me was because of what I was wearing. I had one of my dads throwback jerseys on, A Houston hat on and Astros luggage. Not the best time and place to be rocking my gear. You are probably wondering why my dad didn't come with us to New York. Well, He was supposed to be switched to the Yankees team and we had the move set up. Then the Astros gave him a better contract. He didn't want us to have to stay so he will be in Houston for 2 years then come to New York and join the Yankees. Anyway, back to what was happening. When we get fully out of out cab I see my aunt Jessica, A 5' 9" brunette with emerald green eyes and teeth white as cotton in the fall. She held her arms wide open as we approached her. She has always been a huge hugger. Then she leads us into our new house. A 6,000 Square foot house. I walk into the most Indie/Minimalist pinterest house ever. The walls are white along with the furniture. I see green plants in the corners and dark brown end tables with gold lamps sitting on them. She shows my mom to her room and I just follow, my mouth dropping, as we move room to room. She shows me to my room. And guess what? I got the Master! I start to unpack all my little knick knacks, like trophies, books, pictures and frames and other random things. As I start to unpack a box filled with pictures I see all of my friends in Houston. The first one I pull out is with Melody. Melody is a short little firecracker. She has always been tiny but now she really is. She is 5' 2" with brunette locks that look golden. She has brown eyes that will mesmerize you. In the picture was my Sweet 16. She had gotten me a James Avery charm that I had wanted for years. I couldn't stop talking about it. I laughed to myself and closed the box. Then I get my bed set up. I had a king with teal sheets and a grey and black bed set. Then some cute black and white throw pillows. Then I lay down because it took me 6 hours to set up my room. It took forever! By the time The chef finished cooking, (yes she has a chef.) it was 9:30. It was a salad and some other stuff but I just ate a salad because i'm not comfortable putting unknown substances in my mouth. I was sitting at the diner table with mom and aunt Jessica and we were all talking.
"Hey aunt Jessica, Where is uncle Jay?" I asked her.
"He is going to be on a work trip until next month." She said quickly, not looking at me the entire time the words slipped out of her mouth.
I nodded, finishing the last bite of food off of my plate. I cleared my throat and stood up. "Thank you for dinner. It was great" I said to Jessica.
She smiled, "Of course."
I finished my dinner at 10:00 or something and I went back to my room for some R&R. I was watching my favorite show Riverdale. I was dozing off when I heard a knock at my door. I tore my blanket off and went to see who it was. My mom.
She walked in and told me, "Goodnight baby, I love you."
I replied with "I love you'', She walked out, closing the door behind her.
I didn't even notice but I looked at the clock and it read, 11:12, and somehow I dozed off somewhere in between.
