"I l-love y-you," George stuttered, weakly. I sat on the hospital bed right next to him as his last breath left him. The monitor next to him had one long beep before the doctor came in. I silently cried but I wanted to scream out in pain. The pain in my heart that was aching for George to stay. This was it. This was our last night together. Our last minute. Our second. But he will always be in my heart no matter where I am. I will never be alone without him.

"I love you too," I whispered. My tears streamed down my face. There was one single tear on George's dead face. I wiped it away. I leaned my head down on his shoulder and cried.

                                                                            **Two Months Earlier**

There was a knock on my door, so I paused my movie got up from my couch. I opened the door to see a short guy in front of me with a box.

"Hello, here's your package," he said, holding a box out to me. He wore a FedEx outfit. I didn't take the box when he held it out to me. I just stared at him. He had brown wavy hair that fell over his eyes. He was short and just...cute. He blushed.

"Oh, sorry," I said, taking the box from him.

"It's fine," he slowly turned around, and I watched him walk down my driveway. Before I realized what I was doing I was running down the driveway after him.

"Wait," I called. He turned around and looked at me. He smiled.

"Yes?"

"I-," I paused, not knowing what to say. "What's your name?" I was a complete idiot. Who asks a FedEx guy their name?

"George."

"I'm Clay."

"Nice to meet you Clay. Hope you have a nice day!" George said, enthusiastically.

"Thanks," I said, turning around to go back home. I lost my chance and made a complete idiot out of myself. George drive away. Anyway, I got back in my house and opened the box. It was a hoodie I ordered. I looked at the clock. It was 7:24. I yawned and unpaused my movie.

Soon it was lunch. More like after lunch. It was 1:16. I was hungry. I felt like getting a burger or something. I haven't been out to eat in a while, to be honest. I grabbed my car keys that was on the counter and grabbed my shoes.

I pulled into a cafe. One of my favorite places. Anyway, they had the best coffee. That's the only reason why I came here but I also wanted a donut. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was George. Except he wasn't wearing his FedEx outfit. He wore a normal black hoodie and blue hoodie. There was a bag next to him with something in it. I decided to make my approach.

"Hey George. Long time, no see," I said.

"Hi, Clay," he smiled brightly. "Are you following me?"

"No, just wanted to get something to eat," I said, "You mind me sitting with you?"

"Sure, I don't mind at all," he beckoned. I sat down across from him and right away a waiter came to take my order.

"A donut and some coffee." I said. The waiter went off.

"So, what you doing today?" George asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Nothing much, how about you?"

"Just got done with work, and picking up a few things," he blushed and looked down at his bag. He tried to move it over a little bit with his foot under his seat.

"Whatcha buy?" I asked, curiously.

"Nothing," he said.

"Must be an expensive brand. Never heard of Nothing," I joked. George laughed, nervously. After about ten minutes of sitting in silence the waiter came and gave me my coffee and donut. Once the waiter left George got up slowly.

"Be right back," he left. As he pushed his chair back the bag tipped over. Something came out but I couldn't see it. I was tempted to look in his bag but decided not too. Something frilly was poking out. I looked around and George was no where. I poked my foot and moved the bag so it was in my sight. It looked like a skirt? I tried to look closer but I heard footsteps coming closer to me. I took a bite of my donut, acting like nothing happened.

"Hey," I said, "This is a really good donut."

"Looks good too," George said. "Hey Clay...I want to give you my number. Ya know, in case you get bored and want to hang out sometime."

"Sure," I handed George my phone. He typed his number into my contacts. He handed my phone back to me. "Thanks," I added.

"No problem. I better get going," George said getting up.

"Okay. Bye," I said.

"Bye, nice yellow hoodie," George waved. I looked down at my hoodie. It wasn't yellow...it was light green. I just shrugged it off and finished my donut.
