The night they fell in love was a quiet night...
a calm night...
a gentle night.

After the horrors of the day, Patchouli laid her book down and closed her eyes - as always - resting on her usual spot on the bench at the poolside.
It has been another day of 18+ RP, loli talk, Reimus asking how to switch characters or find bikes and fumos claiming to have found new secret rooms.
All that chaos made her very tired, the sound of the waves of the pool and the leaves' noise in a gentle night's breeze eased her into a relieving little nap.

Hours later, in what seemed to her but a brief moment, she slowly opened her eyes to find somefumo sitting beside her. She hadn't noticed her arriving, but next to her was Cirno, completely silent, staring off into the distance.
In order to not spark a conversation and ruin the moment, Patchouli chose to stay silent and let the soothing energy of the night flow through her.

She took a deep breath.

Cirno, without moving her head, looked at Patchouli.
Patchouli returned the look only for a moment, quickly returning to awkwardly stare down into the pool again. Cirno smiled slightly and directed her gaze at the stars.

The silence was a bit embarassing to both, but no word had to be uttered.
The server was all-empty now, the only two fumos were the two on the bench, simply enjoying the scenery at night.
Cirno and Patchouli looked at each other. Cirno now with a wide and gentle smile now locked on to Patchouli's eyes, who turned slightly red and returned an embarassed smile.
Even though Patchouli tried to avert staring at Cirno she was not able to.
Cirno calmly turned her head away again, visibly closing her eyes in a slow motion, mirroring what Patchouli had done earlier.
Patchouli looked down at the pool again, fighting her urge to smile... a battle which she lost.
Smiling happily, she closed her eyes aswell for a bit, savoring the moment of complete silence that yet told so much.

Patchouli had to go to sleep now, but there was no way of saying good night or anything and leaving without notice was out of the question.
She focussed her bravery, got off the bench, turned left and walked forward and - after stopping for a brief moment - backward again, symbolizing a hug.
She then left the server and couldn't get Cirno out of her head for the remainder of her day.
