The village was buzzing with activity, merchants and royal men wandered to the stadium situated off to the side of the village.
Inside the stadium the crowd was going on and on as they tried to predict who would be the winner of the Chunin Exams, most betted on the Uchiha heir or the Hyuga Prodegy.
In the middle of the Arena, were 7 lone Gennin, they were, Naruto Senju, Shikamaru Nara, Shino Aburame, Neji Hyuga and the Sand Siblings.
Naruto stood thinking and analysing everyone, but he also made a point to pay closer attention to Garaa, they boy exuded KI and he had been staring at him as soon as he got here. However he now had an even better trap card to play, after all if Shikaku, Shikamaru's father and Jonnin commander, was true he would need to go all out against him.
Flashback
Naruto was walking towards the arena at a slow pace. He suddenly stopped letting Shikamaru who was beside him continue.
"Your not coming?"-asked the shadow user.
"I'll be there in a minute"-watching the Nara heir shrug and go into the arena, he turned to the left and called out.
"Jiji, shouldn't you be at the Kage box?"
"I excused myself the Kazekage has picked up a new perfume it seems, although I don't like the smell of snakes one bit."-The Hokage said with a slight chuckle.
"Nor do I, Hokage-sama, but I do have a good repellent if you need."-The blonde smirked and handed a pack of tags to the old man.
"Don't mind if I do but I must repay."- and handed a small scroll to the blonde who opened it.
"I already have a summoning contract Jiji."-Naruto asked confused.
"But this is no normal summoning contract, this is the Rashōmon the infernal gates, you need a lot of chakra, something you have no shortage of."-He chuckled heartly.
"Thank you Jiji!"
"No need. Now good luck Naruto-kun."-and he was gone in a Shunshin.
Flashback over.
"It seems Sasuke picked up on Kakashi-sensei's habits."-Naruto said to Shikamaru.
"It's to troublesome to think about."-He sighed.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Chunin Exams finals, today we will have a bunch of fights to see who makes Chunin. Let's get this show on the road!"-The proctor exclaimed.
"Neji Hyuga and Naruto, please stay in the arena. The rest of you go to the competitors box."
In the stands.
"Watch closely Hanabi-chan, let's see how your cousin does."-spoke the Hyuga Matriarch.
"Hai Ka-chan!"
Arena
In the middle of the arena the brown haired Hyuga eyed the blonde with interest. The boy had a good taijutsu, good enough to toy with an Inuzuka before. But he was a Hyuga taijutsu was their thing.
"Ready to face your fate? I am destined to be the winner."-He smirked but he dropped it, when he saw the blonde looking to the sky.
"Huh, you said something?"-he said as he looked at Neji a smirk tugging at his lips, and almost lost it as Neji fumed with rage.
"Let me show you, how fate will make you pay for disrespecting the great Hyuga clan."-called Neji as he took the Gentle Fist fighting stance.
"Come then!"-Said Naruto as he slipped into his Water Fist taijutsu stance.
