I've always wanted to leave this place. But something always felt odd about me leaving. Like something was stopping me from travelling elsewhere. We were on the edge of many towns in the area yet I've never actually seen them. I couldn't really pin point what that feeling was but i knew it was something. It was nice here but nothing really happened. It was very slow and dull but there was always something to do. The market down the street or going to the local bakery for a snack. On the note of speaking about bakery's I headed down to John And Son's Bakery. It was always very welcoming there, the aroma of freshly baked pies and the wave of heat rush through my nose. I was never really popular round here, another reason I wanted to leave. I had ordered my usual: Chicken Pastry, 2 Cheese Straws And An Oasis Drink. It was just my go to for whenever i needed something to 'Fulfill My Nutritional Needs' or whatever that meant.

I walked over to my usual seat in the corner of the cafe but I was only met with a school boy around the age of sixteen or seventeen, reading a newspaper. Normally, I would've found somewhere else to sit but today every seat was taken or occupied by cleaning products with chairs on tables. I wanted to ask him to move and read else where but he was only young and I didn't really wanted to go through the process of asking a seventeen year old kid to move out of MY seat. When in reality, I didn't own it. "excuse me" said the waiter motioning me out of the way so he could clean the table i was currently next to. I moved out the way and leant on a wall opposite the boy, I never really thought how bright this Café actually was. Bright red and white walls with shiny white tiled floors. I never see anyone cleaning here but it always seems so clean and ne- I was cut of mid thought by a voice calling my name "Y/N!!" I look around to see who called my name to see that same boy beaming from ear to ear, completely full of happiness. I'm very much confused as I've never actually seen him before and I wondered how he knew my name. I was beckoned over so I doubtfully walked over to the table looking to see if there was any parents or guardians looking after him but no, he looked pretty alone here. "Y/n right? That is you?" I mean it was. But how did he- "yes that's me. How do you know my name? I've never seen you around here before" he still seems very enlightened almost like I was a celebrity and he was waiting for an autograph.

"Your my parent! I dont know if you remember me or not!?" Parent?! He must be joking around. I've never had a kid in my life. From what I aware of?! Surely I would've remembered if I did. You know it's having a kid for goodness sake! I froze in my spot in pure shock and confusion. Parent? Surely not. "Care to. Explain further maybe? I think you have the wrong Y/n." Even though I was shutting him down telling him I couldn't possibly be his parent he still seemed hopeful. "Nope. I know who I was looking for! Your definitely y/n y/l/n right?" I became more in shock with every word he spoke. That was definitely my name. "Look kid-" // "call me tommy!" Tommy. Seemed a very energetic boy name. I caught a glimpse of what he was reading. It was a book hidden inside a newspaper with the book name of "Dream SMP" why did that sound so familiar. Like an old ancient myth or story book. I didn't think anything of it. He probably just learnt it in school somehow. "Are you lost here? Moved here?" He shook his head in disagreement, his dirty blond hair shaking with him getting in his eyes making him have to push it out the way. "Nope. I got the bus here to find you. That's. The only reason." There was a pause. "Seems silly. I know but you have to understand there's a very logical reason!!" At this point it was getting relatively darker by the minute and he couldn't really stay out here alone with supposedly no parents around. "Alright kid listen. Tommy? That was your name? I don't know where your from but I need to get you home somehow to your parents. You have a home?" This time, he shook his head in agreement. "Yep! The little town of Hythe." Hythe?! I've never even heard of it. It was a very 'fantasy' sounding town name. "I mean I can't get home. So I guess you'll have to take me." Was that a threat?! It sounded like one. Kid can be scary I see. I motioned him to come with me while rolling my eyes knowing I'll have to spend a random Saturday evening taking a random kid who's allegedly my kid. Home to Hythe. I grab my GPS and type it in letter by letter to find out it was indeed an actual place. Not to far. But it was relatively far to be around an hours distance.
