You had known from a young age that you were gay. You may not have had the correct words for it at the time but you knew. While all the other boys in your kindergarten class were talking about getting or having girlfriends (one even had two) you wanted a boyfriend. For some 'strange' reason you had never thought about girls in the ways other guys had

When you brought up this 'issue' with your mother she just brushed it off, assuming you would grow out of it 'he's only five' she would reason. By middle school you hadn't grown out of it, you never looked at a girl and thought "wow, I wanna date her' or 'damn, she's hot!" when you brought this up in a class discussion one day the rumors started.

Your mom was absolutely petrified when she got a call from one of the other mother's. "You should've gone to church more". A few days later you were pulled out of school and put into a new one, this one was probably worse.

By now you new what you were, you were gay, and you were never afraid to label yourself as such. Still you found yourself being alone, anyone who tried to get close to you was dragged away by some homophobic asshole or was a homophobic asshole.

The only time you'd ever yelled at a girl was because she refused to even look at a pansexual girl for fear of 'catching the gay' and 'I don't want her to get a crush on me!' while she claimed to be bisexual or bi-curious (she switched between the two all the time) just because she found one girl pretty (a model) and wanted to look like her.

When the school found out you were gay they asked your mother to pull you out and she did. You loved your mother a lot but just wished she would fight back a little bit, she could've refused or threatened them or yelled at the teacher that gave you a bad grade because you were gay or the one that hit on you, but she never did. You switched schools a lot until you went to highschool.

You were excepted into UA, the teachers were very kind and you weren't discriminated against. "Just be yourself and remember not all heroes are straight and they come in all different ethnicities, colors, sizes and genders" the principal had told you. Most of the students had similar views and were very encouraging.

Maybe highschool would be easier than you thought... Or maybe not.
