We went through the hallway, which is now decorated, the place was already packed with guests , It looked really classy.
We went pass the guests greeting each and everyone that cater greets, we then went to a place separated from the normal place where all the others were, I can already sense the power, the only sits that were empty were 8 sits, Alphas were present those who have found their mates are with them (their luna's) , I saw my Alpha , the alpha of our pack known as black rose pack, we greeted each and everyone one of them as cater introduced me to them as a friend of carmine, I don't know why, but that's the only thing that can be agreed to make me present there, and cater motion me to sit next to him , facing a man, the man smile at me and I just gave him an odd look.
"This is Damon , my friend" cater says
"Oh, so he must be the one you told me about" I replied
"Nice to meet you Damon", I say trying to be nice
"Nice to meet you too" he replies
"So, where are the other ladies"
"Ummh , well one of them found her mate, and the other messed up" he says.
"Messed up?" I ask giving him a questioning look
"Well- the king, queen and carmine came in, we all stood up and gave our greetings by bowing out heads, the king sat down as we all sat down, they were still 3 sits left, who will dare come late, well all I know is that who dares to come after the king will suffer the consequences.
"Good evening to you all, and thank you for attending my daughter's welcome back party" as carmine blushed . She noticed me looking at her and stared daggers at me . I averted my gaze , and look back at damon, as I gave him an awkward smile. Carmine looked from me to damon.
"Damon is this your mate" she asks looking serous
"I invited the king says" in his Alpha tone
"Now please let's get to the stage, the guests must be waiting" carmine's mother , the queen says as she smiled at me. I smiled back at her.
We all stood up as the king stood up the king passed going to the direction of the stage , followed by the queen and carmine.
"Let's get some drinks" Damon suggested
"You can go with khaya, I need to welcome the lycans" cater said
As cater said that, the word lycans made my heart beating even faster.
"Are you okay" he asks, with a concerning look
"Just have a little headache, thanks" I say
"Need to go, they are arriving soon" cater says. My heart beats even more faster.
"Let's go" damon says as he led through the crowd.
He got us drinks and gave me mine, we were standing near the entrance, at the bar, I could sense a scent.
"he's here" my wolf says
"who?" i ask
suddenly everyone was silent, i could sense the power radiating around the place
"mate" she replies
"what?"
he caught my attention as i saw him looking at me, i started to feel a little dizzy, he had manly peppered stubble, viking-gold hair, defined jaw,he was dishy, our eyes met, my heart started to beat even faster, his eyes were sparkly golden, he moved with leopard like grace, coming towards me.
"oh shit" i mumbled as i turned around ready to run, i was grabed i turned back to see him but instead, i saw damon,"wher are you going to?" he asks with a questioning look , "i, i, need to use the toilet" i turned to look at my mate, he was walking swiftly, every step he take is about 5 steps i will take. i look at him thinking that he will howl, but he didn't. i quickly turned around as i spotted an opening, i ran towards it.
