"You talk about school, dragons, you tell her about Wood, you give her the Snitch. You talk about school, dragons, you tell her about Wood, you give her the Snitch. You talk about school, dragons, you tell her..."

"Wow, Char." Nova interrupted my train of thoughts and I turned around. She was looking at what I have prepared for her with her mouth open. "I didn't forget our anniversary, did I?" I chuckled as I saw she was trying to remember the date but we were far away from May.

She sat down next to me on the blanket I prepared. The Wireless softly playing music, while I reached into the picnic basket to get us each a Butterbeer. Nova was still looking at the lights that I hang on the tree. I loved surprising her more than anything.

"You didn't forget our anniversary." She turned her head to me when I spoke, her eyes were sparkling. "I saw how your eyes shone today when you saw the School Grounds and I wanted to bring you here." I put my hand on her cheek and kissed her. "You know, for old times sake."

"This place is even more beautiful than I have it in my memory." She whispered, looking at the Lake. "Do you remember when you told us that you were feeding cereal to the Giant Squid?" She laughed. She was right where I wanted her to be – going through our memories here.

"How could I forget Penny's face when I told you. She thought I was mental." I laughed with her.

"I remember looking at all of them and realizing I was the only one that understood you." The biggest smile plastered her face.

"Wasn't that the morning before Hagrid took us to the Forest for the first time?" I tried to remember.

"It was!" Nova exclaimed. "I still can't believe Snape thought he was punishing us." I leaned on the tree and Nova got comfy in my arms.

"It was such a fun night even though Hagrid was probably terrified of something happening to us," I remember we were trying to convince him to take us into the Forest for a year, and then he didn't have a choice.

"I am trying to recall why we picked this as our favorite spot." Nova looked up at the lights again.

"I think we started it all," I said gently, burying my nose in her hair. "Didn't we read under this tree?"

"Oh! The book you got for Christmas!" She clapped her hands together. "It was one of the first owls you ever sent me to invite me to the Lake."

I still remember writing that letter. Spring was coming and I wanted to invite her to the Lake for months. I was so nervous because despite us starting to be friends and spending Christmas together, I still didn't want to intrude in case she didn't want to spend time with me. But she responded to all my letters and was always so happy to hang out even if we were just reading all the time.

"How do you think we would've met if I didn't stand up for you that day in the Courtyard?" She said after me being silent.

"Hmm, perhaps in class?" I gave it a thought. It all started with those Slytherins being mean to me. "Or perhaps I would stare at you, having a crush, and you would tell me to bugger off because it would creep you out." I could feel her body shaking from giggles.

"Maybe Tulip and Tonks would meet Jae and we would meet through them." She suggested another theory. "I know it sounds mean but I am glad those Slytherins were bullying you." She looked up at me to kiss me.

"I'm glad too. Perhaps I should thank them." I chuckled.

"Imagine we invite them to our wedding." Nova joked. I stiffened and pulled away from her a bit, hoping she couldn't hear my heartbeat going wild.
