Chapter one
"CHIYO CATCH" Owen yelled throwing a ball at full force, in shock I ran to the side, "come on! you could've caught that!" Owen whined "sorry!! it scared me" i apologized. "nono it's fine" he muttered. "CHIYO DINNER" my mother yelled at the top her lungs, "coming! ill play with you later Owen!" I smiled. he nodded and I ran inside to see my sister crying at the dinner table. "chiyo sit" my father began as my mother handed me my dinner plate, "i got a new job in California, we'll me moving there next week." He told me. "B-but what about my friends an-"
"there are no buts we're moving next week, start packing after dinner," he said coldly.
I felt a few tears go down my cheek, I ate my dinner and ran upstairs. there were already boxes on my bed, I felt tears rolling down my cheeks,
i started going through my drawers, folding and putting my clothes in the boxes, I left some out fits in the drawers for the week. After putting my clothes away I put my long black hair in a pony tail and went outside to see Owen on his tire swing, "finally I've been waiting for you" he said, "sorry I had to do something" I apologized.
i couldn't tell him I had to leave,
Instead of telling him I played with him, for the next week all we did was hang out, til Friday came around. i saw the moving trucks flood in the drive way as my sister and mother carried their suit cases and got situated in the car my dad was packing the trucks, I grabbed my bag and went in the car with my mom and sister, ive never felt more pain than in that moment, then again im only ten, i know I won't see Owen ever again but one could wish.
