Shot

After about half the day, the rain had stopped, but so had you. You were still shivering. Sniper hadn't noticed yet, because he was in front. You continued the walk for a while.
Until Sniper did notice something, you were coughing an awful lot, and it was affecting your voice. Every time you giggled at something or said anything, your voice was a bit raspy, and you coughed afterward.
Sniper offered you some water, which you <accepted/rejected>.
The two of you kept walking even as night crept on. The day was tiring and bad, but what better did you have to do around here?

You were stopping every few seconds, unable to keep up, until Sniper raised his gun again. You could see the person he was aiming for in the distance, a girl about your age with black hair. You tried to tell him to stop, but you couldn't speak, just croaking out small squeaks. You gripped his jacket again. You could tell he was trying not to do it, but he couldn't do much more. You stepped in front of him, waving. He didn't budge. He was so much taller. You could see him give in and line up. You, panickedly, jumped onto the railing and stood in front of the bullet. He shot right at you, and immediately dropped his gun and covered his ears. You caught the edge of the railing, your fingers slipping. You had no upper body strength and you could feel the blood dripping. You managed to pull your head up just enough to see him. He was just sitting there. You reached out to him. He stood up and shook his head violently back and forth. Then, he gripped your hand and lifted you up over the rail. He began searching for anything in their supply that could help. After giving up, he took off his jacket and tied it around your abdomen. You shivered, feeling the blood seeping out. You felt bad about his jacket, even though he shot you. His eyes watered and he took off his mask, running his fingers through his hair. "Shut up already!". He shouted.
The girl ran down a bridge and towards you. But you wouldn't have known. Because you had already passed out by that time.
