' She moves a Goddess, and she looks a Queen. '
Big brown eyes observed the bustling platform of children and parents apprehensively. Her lips were twisted unsurely, as the young girl chewed on the plump pink feature in worry.
Gale had never been one for big crowds, and usually her Dad would stay until the train departed from Platform Nine and Three Quarters before leaving her alone. But with the recent happenings in the Wizarding World, Gale's Father George Snow had been asked into the Auror's office earlier that day, and had only had the time to drop his daughter off before departing to the ministry.
Gale had postponed joining the rabble of people for as long as she could at that point, hoping to spot one of her friends and walk with them to their usual compartment. But luck wasn't on her side, and Gale begrudgingly grabbed her trunk from beside her with a sigh. Beginning to carefully make her way through the crowd, muttering her apologies and giving small smiles as she passed people by on her way to the train.
Standing behind another student as they hefted their belongings from their trolley up onto the raised platform of the train, Gale leaned back and attempted to glance one of her friends through the compartment windows, failing as she finally started pulling her trunk up onto the train behind her, struggling as one of the corners caught on the trains ledge causing her to curse beneath her breath.
"Here, let me help." A familiar voice spoke as Gale glanced up in time to spy the raven locks cascading down the boys broad shoulders, smiling as her trunk finally made it onto solid ground once more.
"Thanks Siri." Gale grinned, her pearly white teeth contrasting beautifully with her plump pink lips as the boy straightened and looked at her with confused grey eyes.
"Do I know you?" Sirius asked as Gale's smile wavered "It's just, I'm sure I wouldn't forget a face like yours." The boy shamelessly flirted causing Gale to snort in amusement.
"Haha Black, very funny." Gale smiled as she turned and began pulling her trunk behind her up the aisles of the Hogwarts Express, hearing her friend quickly following her as she turned over her shoulder to smile at him "Where's your luggage anyway?" Gale questioned, her usual soft smile adorning her face as she waved at people she passed.
"Uh, with James - Potter. James Potter, Is that how I know you?" Sirius asked as he leaned against the train wall, muscles straining under his leather jacket as Gale searched his eyes for any indication of a joke, finding nothing but confusion as she gaped at the boy, trying to form an answer "It's just, your really familiar, I just can't place it. Have we hooked up?" He leaned in closer to ask as Gale flushed.
"No! No, it's me, Gale, Gale Snow." Gale cocked her head slightly in confusion as Sirius's eyes widened, shooting up from his slouched position to look down at the girl in shock, giving her a once over as his eyes settled above her brow where a faint white scar he'd caused in second year after accidentally shooting her with a hex lay.
"Blimey!" Sirius marvelled, warm calloused hand lightly cupping the girls now angled jaw as he turned her face back to his own "Merlin Lel, you - Your fucking fit." He huffed out in shock as Gale playfully slapped his hand away, her cheeks tinting pink as she tried to play it off.
"Your not too bad yourself Black, now, mind helping me find our compartment?" Or have you forgotten that too?" She teased causing Sirius to grin down at her, his usual cocky smirk returning as he wrapped an arm around the girls shoulder and began leading her down the carriageway.
"Funny, but really Lel, what did you do over the summer? You look so different." Sirius looked at the girl under his arm as she shrugged her shoulders, smiling up at him sweetly as he came to see the same girl he'd known for those five years under he new adult features.
