"Everybody gone?" Dany asked over her shoulder as Jon re-entered the kitchen. She put away the last of the dishes.
Her house had turned into a party central over the past month. First there was her brother's birthday party. They had all been able to meet Dorreah and agreed they like her. Two weeks later she hosted a suprise birthday party for Missandei's oldest son. Today had been a party for Missandei's daughter. She did not know what possessed her to offer her house and backyard as a venue for a birthday party, but she would not have such a lapse in judgement again.
"Yes, everybody's gone," Jon said in a weary voice.
She turned on the dishwasher and then faced him. "Tired?" She asked sympathetically.
"A little," he stiffled a yawn. "Not foo tired to steal a kiss though." He dropped a quick one on her nose.
"I'd rather you kissed me here." Dany patted her lips with her forefinger.
"Right here?" He touched his own forefinger to her lips.
"Yes." She giggled.
He obliged with a quick peck. ",I'm starting to rethink this whole sharing your life with me thing." he joked.
He had told Dany about few of his past relationships, and she couldn't believe there had been women who hadn't wanted to introduce this wonderful man to their families. Their loss, her gain.
"Thank you for being a part of it anyway," she whispered.
They gazed cat each other for a moment. Jon snapped out of it first. "Well I better get out of here," he said. "It's late."
He had never spent the night. But she would love for him to hold her and kiss her tonight. He'd always found the strength to leave and go to his own home before, but tonight, she just wanted him to stay.
"Walk me to the door?" He took her hand and started to pull her with him.
Dany stood her ground, tightening her grip on his. "You don't have to leave if you don't want to."
He looked at her as if he didn't understand a word she said.
"Excuse me?"
"You don't have to......."
"I know what you said." The silence stretched between them. Only the humm of the running dishwasher could be heard. He swallowed. "Are you positive you're ready?"
Dany nodded. She wasn't the least bit worried.
She'd been looking forward to tonight. "I love you,Jon."
He swallowed again. He tugged gently on her hand, and she came closer to him, absorbing the heat from his body into her own. He brushed her hair back from her face. His face broke out in a wicked grin. "You know you're in trouble right?"
A shiver of excitement shimmied down Dany's back. "I can take anything you dish out, snow." She said confidently.
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
"We'll see about that." Without warning he picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder.
"Jon!" She shrieked.
He slapped her on the butt. "Be quite."
"I thought you were tired." She giggled again.
"I just got my second wind."
Jon hurried down the hallway to Dany's bedroom and kicked the door shut.
