chapter one "the burning candle"

it was very late at night the loud bang echoed down the hall waking the father from a dead sleep as the bang continued he got up to walk down the hall to the noise did he dare to see what came next. He opened the door, It had always been locked and they hadn't had a key but the door was cracked open. Would he enter? Or go back and ignore the loud noise . he walked closer to peak in as he got close enough to see through the crack there was just a candle burning and pitch darkness around it he look in with an confused face as he pushed the door open and enter as the door slammed behind him he glanced back and continued to walk in the dark towards the candle he fell he seemed to trip over something but nothing was there he look at his leg at had seem to start bleeding . He tried to get up and get to the door but he passed out before he made it . Darlia the mom had woken to him not by her side she went downstairs to cook breakfast thinking he had just gone to work there daughter, Reliya, had still been sleeping since she had got up for school in an hour. The mom glanced over to the door where his coat and keys still hung , She became confused and looked outside to see if his car was still there. The car still sat in the driveway still covered in snow .She had gone back upstairs to look for her husband . An hour later she had already searched the whole house she began to panic and tried to call him but he didn't answer she had woke the daughter to see if she knew anything but the daughter had just said "i don't know i haven't seen him since last night's dinner" the mom ran out of the room and grabbed her phone to call the police . The police had told her to see if he came back in the next hour or so if not they would go search for his body or him alive . The daughter had got dressed and went off to school as the mom had called everyone they knew in the neighborhood to see if he had went over to hang or had told them were he was going , None of them had seen or heard from him since last night when he help them all set up security cameras. The mom had ask to watch the security cameras and the neighbors had agreed to let her come over an hour to look through them. The dad had still been past out in the locked room but the candle was not burning and it still had the tip that wasn't burned like it had never been lit. the mother had walked right by the door and didn't suspect that he was in there since it had always been locked and never opened. The neighbors had knocked on the door an hour later to get the mother but the mother had not answered. A few moments later the mother had called the neighbors and had apologized and said she was sleeping and that she could come over later bec she had needed to go get her daughter from school then she had put her coat on and grabbed the keys as soon as she left to go get her daughter she locked the door . The dad had woke a little but was still dizzy from the blood loss he look up to see that the candle isn't burning he scotted himself a little to the door to try to get out but he seem to got slammed across the room but nothing was there " who is that"says grunting in pain but nothing had answered. The daughter entered the passenger seat " have u found father " she said putting her bookbag in the back seat of the car. Her mother replied with "no sweetie we have not i hope we do soon thought " as she drove home she saw three people talking on the road by her house . One police man , her husband's brother and her neighbor. She pulled into the driveway and got out of the car walking over to the conversation . her daughter had gone inside the house as the mother had said "hello , what's going on " the police man replied with " are u the wife " , the mother sighs "yes ". The policeman had pulled her off to the side "we think that ur husband was killed" the mom shuddered and began to cry "no he can't be "she had fell into the cops arms crying harder as her daughter peacefully cried at the doorway hoping her father was ok . The father had grunted in pain as he got up but then fell back down trying to keep a balance , he had lost a lot of blood and had a broken arm and a sore leg..........
