THE BEGINNING--SHIVA & RAAVI

Efforts

After everything that happened in the courtyard, Raavi went to her room and locked herself. She cried her heart out and went to the mirror, looked at her reflection and recalled the days when she fought with everyone to get her alliance fixed with Dev.

She wondered while crying that why could she no say anything to Rishita today, why did she choose to be silent?? The only line that was aching her heart was ---"She doesn't have any love and happiness and that's why comes in front of Dev to make him feel guilty" .She said to herself-Why don't I have any happiness in my life?

Why does she hate Shiva so much? -She wondered. Her inner self said-Is it because he was against your  alliance with Dev or  because he fights with you so much.. She started recalling everything that would have probably forced him to hate her, her Aunt's misdeeds, their financial struggle, Anita's selfish acts and so on.

She found out during this retrospection that Shiva was never wrong in hating her. He didn't hate her for what and how she was, but because of her association with Prafulla. Anybody would hate someone who hurts one's family. Shiva had assumed that anybody related to Prafulla could never be a good person.

Now she knew that Shiva was not at fault. She closed her eyes again and started recalling each & every incident that occurred since they got married. How he saved her on the marriage day itself, took her side in front of Rishita many times, how he saved her when they reached Haveli, gave her handkerchief the same morning, etc. etc.

Thinking of the kidnapping incident, she realized that if Shiva had actually left her b/w the goons, he would have surely given some explanation or excuses because he couldn't lose Dhara's trust. But he didn't, he refused to provide any justification, This means he didn't leave her. Her mind worked and she understood that he would probably have gone to ensure her safety first. 

She was guilty now, for misunderstanding Shiva. Now she knew that he was a pure soul, who was just doing a mind blowing act  of hating her, only to save his childhood assumptions about her. Now she knew that she needed to put some efforts in this marriage.

[Door knock--She quickly wiped her tears and went to open the door only to see Shiva. He could easily spot the tears on her eyelids]

SHIVA--Ae Chipkali, What happened? Who made you cry?

RAAVI--What? Why do you think that I am crying?

SHIVA--Don't try to lie. You are a bad actor. I can clearly see Raavi.

[ Raavi was surprised in a pleasant way  hearing her name from his mouth]

RAAVI--What ? What did you say?? Did I hear Raavi?

[Tears started rolling down her eyes and a smile also came to her lips. She remembered everything that happened in the courtyard and hugged Shiva.]

[Shiva also forgot everything for a moment and pressed her tightly  in his arms as if his life depended on it. His heart knew that he needed it since a long time. Amidst everything that happened in last few days, his life had turned upside down]

[Both were lost in each other's embrace now. Shiva was now expressing his hidden feelings towards Raavi which he always used to suppress by his fake hatred]

SHIVA--Raavi  what happened? Is eveything OKAY?

RAAVI--Wasn't OKAY till now but now everything is fine.

[Shiva tried to leave but she didn't leave him. A few moments later, Raavi broke the hug]

RAAVI--Shiva tell me honestly, do you really hate me?

[This line broke his euphoria and he was back to his senses.]

SHIVA--Mami Ki Behn Ki Beti...What kind of a question is that? Of course I hate you..(hesitating in the last line)

RAAVI--Then why did you save me on the day of our marriage?

[Shiva was stunned. It was getting difficult now to fake the hatred anymore, but he gathered courage]

SHIVA--Are you mad? I am a human and I couldn't let a girl die in front of my eyes.

RAAVI--Fine.. Why did you hit the goon when he was talking shit with me? Why did you save me from the candle last night?

SHIVA--Just stop it yaar! What has happened to you??(trying to shut her up)

RAAVI--I won't stop because I have realized that we are made to be together, that's why you saved me number of times, you only put Haldi and Mehndi on me. These were all signals Shiva, only we couldn't understand.

[Shiva was speechless now. He turned his back towards her hiding his emotions.. But  Raavi wasn't in a mood to stop today. She kept asking the same questions again and again but Shiva didn't say anything and she was getting restless now]

[She went closer, patted on his shoulder, he turned and she placed her lips on his. She was moving her lips slowly and was waiting for him to do something. He was stunned for a moment but then he lost it. He pulled her even more closer and started moving his lips gently. It was a passionate and gentle kiss which both of them were enjoying. It was a kiss of commitment, a kiss to remove the baggage of their fake hatred, a promise that efforts will be made from both the sides]

[They broke the kiss only when they were getting breathless but were not able to look at each other now. But Shiva gathered some words and held her hands in his]

SHIVA--Raavi, I am Sorry! Sorry for everything, for all the lies that I have said. Yes it's true that I don't hate you.

RAAVI--Its OKAY Shiva. I know you have never looked at me as Raavi but Mami Ki Behn Ki Beti. That's why you could never make any place for me in your heart.

SHIVA-- No Raavi, you hold a very special place in my life as well as my heart. I know it is not love but yes, I can't wait to fall in live with you. I have to see you as you, as Raavi, not Mami Ki Behn Ki Beti.

[Raavi chuckled and Shiva too]

RAAVI--But will you fulfill one request of mine?

SHIVA--Yes Of Course!!

RAAVI--Just be natural. Go with the flow. Don't let past memories and future worries flash. Like we felt like kissing each other so we did, just like that, we need to make conscious efforts for progress in this marriage. OKAY??

SHIVA--Deal!!(However he was little embarrassed on that kiss and Raavi realized that)

RAAVI--Its OKAY Shiva. We are legally married and we can kiss. Its no matter of hesitation.

[Shiva nodded in a Yes and both spent the next few hours talking to each other, discovering ne positive qualities about each other and also clearing all the misunderstandings]

[They saw the time and realized it was lunch time. They headed towards the dining area and at the gate, Raavi collided with a show piece and fell but this time Shiva could not save her instead he also lost his balance and and fell with her]

[Raavi was on the floor and Shiva was above her. Both were lost in each other's eyes realizing ho w beautiful their partners were. But Shiva thought that she might be uncomfortable so he tried to get up but Raavi held him by his collar and kissed him once gain, even more passionately]

[Both stopped after a few seconds, got up hugged each other and went towards the dining area, holding hands with wide smiles on their faces]
