❄️KIMBERLY'S POV❄️

I woke up to Xander's beautiful eyes staring at me. He has this spark in his eyes that compels me to drown in the whirl pool of his grey orbs, an abyss that hyptonizes me into a world that I don't ever leave.

"You do know it's creepy to stare at a person when they are asleep? But I can't help notice how beautiful your eyes are," I comment

At the realization of what I just said to him, I press my face on his chest to hide the rising pink color burning my cheeks making him chuckle at my behavior. "Is my beautiful wife shy? Come on babe, I know I'm hot and I expect you not to  hide your true feelings for me because I like it better when you are a blushing mess just for me. You look more beautiful that way."

His words make my heart flutter even more when he passionately kisses me. I am starting to see my decision was the right one and I should really work on trusting him more.

We wake up and as I make the bed goes ahead and takes a shower then I shower next. After we get dressed we walk downstairs hand in hand. What or rather who I see, totally not  expecting it, has me stopping in my tracks.

Vanessa.

She was back and she was currently serving our breakfast this morning and all of a sudden I feel full but since I don't want to ruin our morning, I just go ahead to the table and sit down on the chair my husband pulled out for me.

"Good morning ma'am and Alex, hope you enjoy your breakfast. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask," she says politely then walks away and disappears into the kitchen.

I feel like picking up the knife and stabbing her and that bitchy face of hers, but I keep my intrusive thoughts  at bay, by taking a deep breath and proceed to have my breakfast.

"Babe why are you so quiet?" Alex calling my name pulls me from the millions thoughts running through my head.

I shake my head. "I'm fine but I thought you already fired her," I sound whiny but I don't care right now.

He lifts my left hand and places a kiss on the back smiling at me. "You don't need to be upset over her. I'm sorry I didn't inform you she was back. Her mother is very sick and she needs the job, so I hired her back and she promised to behave," Xander assures and I just decide to ignore her and just concentrate on my newly found happiness.

Later on, Xander leaves for the office since I was all better now and I wind up in my happy place in this house, the library. Getting lost in a good romance is always a welcome feeling every time I cozy up with one. Maybe one day I could find the courage to put down words of my own.

A few hours later, I'm done and I leave the comfort of the library heading into the kitchen to grab a snack. As I pass by Xander's home office,  I hear someone talking from inside. It's definitely not my husband as it sounds like a feminine voice. I get closer to see who it was and that's when I hear Vanessa's voice  clearly, and it seems she's speaking to someone on her phone.

I don't mean to eavesdrop but I trust her as much as I trust a poisonous snake lying in wait in a grassy patch. "Don't worry about it. It's already sorted and we can continue having fun as long as you keep your part of the deal," she says to the person she's on the phone with. Probably a new boyfriend?

She's quiet for a while, I'm assuming listening to the other person then she continues to say, "I will always keep your secret because I love you and I hope we get to repeat what we did yesterday because I can't get the feelings you evoke inside me with that wicked tongue of yours out of mind."

Nope.

That was my que to leave since I didn't want to hear any more details of her sexcapades with whoever that was. As I proceed towards my hunt for a snack, I can't help feeling glad she is keeping her claws off my husband.
