Ariel's POV
I want be human.
Is that a bad thing?
I can't stand this fin attached to the bottom half of my body. I want to have legs and to be free up on the warm sand. I want to stroll the street and dance at parties, but I can't. It's all because I'm a mermaid. I'd do anything to be human and I mean anything. But most of all, I want to be with him.
By him I mean Aladdin, the criminal of Agraba. He has no idea I exist though and he never will as long as I have these stupid fins. I tried the sea witch, Ursula, but that didn't work out. Actually, she tried to get Aladdin herself. In the end she screwed over some guy named Erik. I feel bad for him but at the same time, I'm lucky she didn't get Aladdin.
I just hope one day he will notice me...
*Next Morning*
I brush through my hair one last time with the dinglehopper my friend Scuttle gave me. I grab my purple purse and sneak out of the castle while my sisters and father are asleep. I quietly swim out. I hear the familiar clicking of Sebastians claws. I bite my lip and try to hide but he catches me before I can.
"Ariel! What in the name of the seven seas do you think you are doing?" He whisper yells at me.
I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my shell bra, "No where."
"Wait until your father hears about this" He clicks his claws together and I just want to shove him under a rock.
"Don't tell him Sebastian please" I beg like a baby. This is what I do to stay out of trouble, for the time being.
"And why not?" He crosses his claws over his chest. I hope the chef cooks him one day.
"Because we will both be in so much trouble if you do and I'm 16. I have to explore the oceans a little bit more." I give him my baby face and have my hands in a praying position. "Please, Sebastian, please!" I bat my eyes at him for more of an effect.
"Don't you bat those eyes at me" He demands and I stop. "And fine go but do not get me in trouble later"
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I grab him and kiss his cheek.
I swim of quickly into the big ocean blue with a giant smile on my face. I start to head towards Agraba. I need to see Aladdin again. I miss seeing his face, his walk, his everything. If only he knew I existed....
