The sunlight danced across her light skin, caressing it. Her pastel pink hair flew in the wind, dancing along with her. She was grinning happily. Her smile made her seem like the epitome of euphoria. She had clear, azure eyes. They glistened in the darkest of places. The girl called out my name, merriment tinging her voice. Her voice was like a mellifluous melody, hearing it made a flow of bliss rush through me.
I laughed, following her into heaven. We were running across the field, grass tickling our ankles. Coming to a stop, my hands were placed on her waist. Suddenly, darkness flooded the light. A chill ran down my spine. Her smile was malicious, her expression bitter. The once lush greenery beneath us felt coarse and rigid. Her cobalt blue eyes flashed a deep violet. She was looking at me, her stare penetrating. Her innocent waves of carnation pink were a pitch-black. Trepidation engulfed my lungs. She reached into her pocket and took out a knife. My eyes widened in fear. I tackled her hands, taking the blade away from her. Her icy gaze never left my eyes. She twisted my hands, her once warm touch grasping my wrist. I didn't retaliate. Her slender fingers pushed my arms. The knife plunged into her, tearing through her delicate skin. Colour drained from her face. A blood-curdling scream escaped my throat. It left a bitter taste in my mouth. Blood was spilling out of her chest. Crimson liquid drowned the ground. A smile remained plastered on her face, her glassy eyes piercing through me. I held her in my arms, tears flowing down my ashen face. Her warm blood stained my hands, branding my soul with the memory. I felt like I was falling into a never ending abyss. The dark strands of her hair went back to their angelic, baby-pink state. Her purple eyes to blue. Dawning comprehension flooded my brain. A small smile stared right at me.
"I didn't mean to kill her!" I whispered. "I DIDN'T MEAN TO KILL HER!"
