Hearing her sister's cry and words made Preeta realize that killing herself wasn't the best way to solve her problems. Her mum may be dead and Karan may have left her but that didn't mean she was alone. She still had her unborn child, Shrishti, Jhanki, her grandma and Sophia's family who love her unconditionally. And then there was Rishabh who surprised her by being here but again she wasn't so surprised because he's among the few Luthras who has never really judged her and that made her happy. She still had people who cared.

When Shrishti asked for her hand, she was giving it to her but then slipped and fell in water that was running so fast. This isn't what she wanted; she had decided to live and not die. She didn't wanna leave her sister and family it perhaps this was destiny.
As she fell, she called out her sister to help her but it was too late. She  was scared and tried to fight but the water was too much. She felt like her lungs were pressing down that suddenly needed to breathe more than ever before; she was confused and disoriented of shattered light through water. Neither did she see nor breathe and didn't know which way is up and down. She knew she was going to die because the vision at the edge of her sight seemed to turn black flecks, her lungs were burning and she felt like her chest was being pressed right in the centre by the giant fist and pulled apart at the same time. She felt a sense of nausea and her whole body felt tingly and rigid, her ears throbbing and she could hear her own heartbeat and her lat few pulses.
It was cold, but she was also numb, tingly. Her limbs felt dead, heavy and had no control over them. As her vision went black eventually, but also a little flashes of sparks as her eyes move, trying to find light.
After fighting so much she finally accepted that this was it because there was no surviving and no one to help her. She hoped that one day her family forgives her and try to be happy. She couldn't breathe anymore and only inhaled water as silence took over and there was nothing to be done as her body was swept away by running water to God knows where.

Shrishti had forwarded her hand for Preeta and she saw that sister was gonna hold her her but then a few seconds later she watched horrifying as her sister slipped and fell as she heard her call out to help to her. Shrishti panicked and was shocked at what just happened. She tried to call Preeta but nothing and couldn't see her either. She shouted at people to help get her sister but everyone was in shock and some were talking about how her sister has just committed suicide, others wondered why a beautiful girl would wanna kill herself however there was no one to answer those questions.

Sophia and Sam came and held her tried to calm her down but they weren't helping because they were both in the same situation.  Sophia never thought that this is how she would lose her best friend and Shrishti didn't think she would lose both her mom and sister in the such a small time and it was so saddening. She was never gonna see those beautiful smiles and laughters, the tears they shed together. She remembered the good times, celebrations, tears, the hugs and also when she stood up for her form people, the silly jokes they made and above all the sacrifices Preeta  made for her only made her cry even more. This isn't how it was supposed to end. They had so much dreams to fulfil and now those dreams were gone because her sister is gone.
She then Rishabh standing by and the anger just increased, she attacked him but Rishabh like the rest of them was still in shock especially with what he has just heard and seen. He got shocked to know that Sarla was dead and that she died after learning about Preeta's pregnancy which happens to be Karan's and he's sure none from his family know about these events.

Rishabh always suspected that something was going on between Preeta and Karan but didn't know it went this far that a baby was involved. He always had these feelings for Preeta but took a set back and instead started to see Preeta as a sister and family. He always admired the way she carried herself but witnessing her die only brought heart ache, anguish, sadness among other things. He couldn't even feel Shrishti's attacks or curses until he felt slaps land on his chest but even then he couldn't do anything because Shrishti was right.
