„Hey, hey, Lucy, are you awake?“ A whisper left my mouth and disappeared in the darkness.
„No, I am not able to sleep now.“ Was the answer.
„Neither am I.“ I was squeezed between my three best friends in a bed, which was made for two people. It was definitely too small for four persons. Because of the body warmth it was really hot in my room and the air was fuggy and had a lack of oxygen.
That day was my sixteenth birthday, but the next day was a school day, so we (my friends and I) chose not to go clubbing.
But we talked very much, as girls usually do on sleepover, we went to bed at 3 a.m., so we actually were very tired the next day.
And I had problems to fall asleep.
Cornelia, Sam, Lucy and I had spent the whole evening eating and talking, watching xfactor and disputing about the people.
„It’s so freaking hot in here.“ Lucy whispered.
„Yeah.“
My head was at a different place. Somewhere in the past. In my old room in our old house in our old home town. With a guy, who totally shocked me today, even though he wasn’t even physically present.
In the middle of thinking I decided to tell Lucy what was going on. I told myself, that I had wanted to tell her, because I really trusted her, but in fact, I just needed to tell someone.
And Lucy was awake.
„Lucy, can you come with me for a moment.”
Lucy immediately moved, which got me to the conclusion, that she was as tired as I was. Really not.
I tried to get out of the room without making big noise. As I stepped on the floor, cold air touched my legs. It even cooled my emotions down, a little bit.
I crossed the room, having Lucy behind me. I headed to my dad’s home office, in which we stored the photo albums.
I found the one I was looking for, and after a short searching session, I even found the page with the special picture.
Lucy looked shocked, as I turned the book around, and could see the two persons on the picture.
„Oh my…“ she gasped. „Is that you with the guy from the xfactor?“
„Yes,“ I answered. „I used to date him, before I moved here.“
Lucy just stared at me with wide eyes.
