"Baby, no!"
Cried Taehyung, holding her soft hand in his strong one as he sat beside her on the hospital bed.

She tried to look at him with blurry eyes .

"I_ am_ sorry_ I couldn't_ keep our_ promise__ "

Two tears rolled down her eye-corners as a weak apology escaped from her mouth, making his heart sink to the core.
He stroked her hair and tried to assure her.

"Everything's gonna be alright, I won't let anything happen to you."

Even he couldn't understand if he was assuring her or he was assuring himself.

A faint smile carved on her beautiful lips behind the oxygen mask as she shook her head slowly.

"I know... I don't have much breaths," She whispered, "but know this...even after my death, my soul will love you; forever..."

Her stuttering words ripped his heart.

"No baby, don't say that..."
He snivelled, keeping his grip tight on her hand. But none of his cries worked that time. He watched his life, his soul, taking last breaths and confessing for one last time.

"I_ love_ you_ "

And she closed her eyes slowly, leaving him cry for her like a child.

"No, Serena! Open your eyes." His lips trembled, "You can't leave me alone. Serena! I have no one in this world, don't leave me."

Shaking her shoulder, he cried like he had cried for his father twenty years ago.

"Why don't you see what will I do without you? Who's gonna love me like you do? Serena!"

"Y/N!"

Your eyelashes quivered as you heard your name, making your eyes flash open a millisecond later. As soon as the realization hit you that the voice was none other than your Mom's, you sat up straight at once and held your spinning head; trying hard to not fall on your face now. She stood near your bed with a staid face, watching each of your moves.

You attempted to throw a fresh smile at her, no matter how much you wanted to throw up that time. You couldn't let your mother know how much you were drunk last night, little did you remember you were taken to your bedroom by her order.

"Yes Mom!"

You chirped, earning one silent stare from her and she spoke up afterwards.

"You should remember it's your first day at the office. And you should also remember that the timing is nine."

At her reiteration, you turned your head to the wall clock and your eyes bugged out as you saw that it was just a quarter to nine. Your head turned to her as she continued.

"Most importantly, you must not forget that your father is currently abroad and...Jimin hates tardy subordinates."

Your brows furrowed at her last words.

"Who says I'mma be a subordinate? And his?"

You scoffed with one brow lowered and one hiked, on which your mother winded up the conversation.

"Whatever. Get ready for the office before he gets furious at you again."

"When is he not!"
