3 - A girlfriend

TW: panic attack, mentions of self-harming

Niki:

"Are you awake?" The nurse asked immediately after I opened my eyes. "Yeah", I mumbled. My throat was really dry. "Can I have water?" I asked and the nurse nodded. When I turned my head a little bit I saw how Will sat on his bed and stared at me. "Hey", I said and he smiled. "Hello, are you okay?" He asked. "Well probably yeah", I said and stretched my arms. "Here", the nurse handed a plastic cup to me. "Thank you", I said and sipped water from the cup. "What happened?" I asked then. "We don't actually know, something in your brains is probably injured", the nurse said and I nodded. "You may have to go to surgery", she said and left. I was completely shocked, but I took a few deep breathes and looked at will. "How are you?" I asked him. "I'm okay, I'm leaving today", he answered and smiled slightly. "Oh, do you live near?" I asked and Will shook his head. "No, but my mom is going to pick me up", he said and put some papers in his backpack. "That's nice", I just commented looking straight to the ceiling. "How about you?" Will asked and I shrugged. "I don't know, well probably I'm not going to leave soon, and if I have to go to surgery..." I sighed. "I'm so sorry", he said and his gaze locked to his guitar. "I'll play something for you."

The song was really pretty. I loved every second of it. Will is pretty as well. His voice is almost prettier than his face, but just almost.

"Did you like it?" Will asked with a smile. "I loved it", I answered and Will smiled even more. "Well goodbye then Niki", he said suddenly as he stood up and started walking towards the door. "Goodbye?" I asked confusedly. Will turned around. "Yeah, I think that we ain't gonna see each other, but it was really nice to crash with you!" Will said and he made me laugh. "Bye."

I was suddenly alone. I didn't think that he could be in so much better shape than me, well I just got more hit apparently. I don't like that he called this our goodbyes, well probably he lives somewhere far and we ain't gonna see each other as he said but still, you never know. "Hello Niki", a nurse came to my room. "Hi", I said and sniffed. "I have good news", he said and wrote something to my papers. "You don't need surgery! But well you have to stay a few more nights", he said and laid my papers down. "Okay, that's good", I said and rubbed my nose. "Yes, do you wanna something to eat?" He asked and I shook my head. "I'm good thanks", I answered and he nodded and then left. Then again so suddenly I was alone. I felt something burning inside me and I knew that it was a panic attack. I can't do anything to it. All of the loneliness and everything that had happened in these days flashed through me as I lifted my knees under my chin and leaned to them. Suddenly the door opened and a very well-known figure stepped in. "Niki?" Will asked as he walked closer. "Do-", I tried to say something but I couldn't since I was shaking so hard. "Hey, everything is okay", Will said and sat beside me. He tapped my shoulder and tried to calm me down. I just couldn't focus on his calming. "Do you have something sharp?" I asked suddenly, I maybe didn't mean to ask but well I asked already. "Woah, Niki. No!" Now Will pressed me against him. "No, you don't need things like that", he whispered. "Everything is okay", he continued. Now I hadn't any other option than listen to him. His sweater was very soft when my face buried to it. I hoped that he doesn't mind the wet bits in his sweater. My tears. When I calmed down I met his gaze. "I am so sorry, your sweater is now ruined", I said and looked down. "Niki, don't worry about my shirt, it's just a piece of fabric", Will said and made me smile slightly. "Why you're still here?" I asked then and straightened up. "Uhm well, it's a long story, but I have to be here just a few days more", he said and sighed. "Oh, are you still my roommate?" I asked and Will nodded with a smile. "Sorry that I said goodbye", he said as he stood up. "It's okay, do you wanna my letter finally?" I asked and offered the piece of paper to him. "Sure", he said and smiled. "Can I have yours?" I asked then and Will offered his letter to me. Then he walked away and sat on his own bed. I opened the letter carefully and started to guzzle the information.

So my name is Will but some of my friends call me Wilbur, both are good to me!

I am a streamer and musician. So I stream and do music what a coincidence. :D

I might seem very rude at first but when you get to know me I'm pretty kind and trying to be as funny as possible. I have three siblings, mom, and dad... pretty basic. I have so many good friends!! :) and yeah I also have a girlfriend! That's it <3

My heart stopped when I read the second to last sentence. and yeah I also have a girlfriend... why do I feel disappointed and kind of jealous. I looked up and saw how he smiled at me with my letter in his hands. "You read it?" He asked and stood up walking next to my bed with a big smile. "Yeah, I see that we're kinda different", I rolled my eyes lightly and Will laughed. "Opposites compliment each other", he said as we took our own letters back. "Yeah, but hey tell me about your girlfriend?" I asked with a fake smile. "Oh, she's actually coming here today!" Will said and I nodded slowly.
