Haku (H)

Camito (C:)

The day was long, dim, and boring. Inside the Humanoid Capsule, on the way to other planets to perform live, each of 2 people shared a room.

Haku & Camito were settled into a room themselves. With the set all ready to go, Camito timed out early, Haku was writing new lyrics through her phone for her next album. She was sidetracked by boredom, writer's block, and the attractive figure sleeping across the room from her.

After starting to know each other more at the beginning of the tour, she held a tight bond for Camito. There were both in the category of "secondary artists" as the tour label would consider, so they hung out a lot with the rejects, the independents, and the non-soul sellers.

And after the fights with Neru & Teto, she was just tired of hanging around people full of excitement and drama. She just wanted some time to relax, to feel loose, to be herself. And what a perfect person is Camito to do that around.

The best part is, she could turn the excitement up at her own pace.

H: (gets up from her bed, standing over Camito's distantly) C-Camito?

C: (lying in bed, almost sleep) What? Bleh.

H: (picks up her pink Wii remote from the ground, holding it, looking at him with a smile) Play with me~.

C: Play with you? Girl, you ain't my son.

H: Play with me, now. (puckered lips)

C: Ugh, fine.

Haku gave Camito a gray Wii remote. They sat on the floor and played Super Mario. She never played it much, hardly at all, so it would be grand if they played with each other a world or 2. Camito was tired, but glad to play an easy game. He knew these levels back and forth.

C: Sand World, huh? You haven't played much. Or you're just bad at it

H: (giggles) Oh, shut up.

They played through the levels, gradually and feeding on power-ups, all the way to the finish flag. Similar to what Haku was planning; gradually building up the scenario until her goal with Camito.

H: I want to sit in your lap, can I?

C: Uh, sure.

Onwards they played. They got up until the beachy water level. Haku never reached this far, and keep dying on the snap. Camito flew by the level. Eventually they both died until they lost all their lives, well, Haku first.

C: Dang, lel. At least I got most of the levels done for you. You died a lot. (smiles confidently)

H: (frustrated at how many times she died) Hmph, I want to play a different game.

C: Oh! Super Smash Bros.? (excited, looking for the disk)

H: No, a movie.

C: Wait, that's not a game.

H: Whatever, let's watch something together.

C: Oh, alright. Your choice.

Haku chose on of her favorite childhood shows online, The Super Mario Show. Although she hated the game, the show was everything. Lucky for her, Camito seemed to enjoy it too.

But she didn't want to watch anything new. She just chose an episode and let it play. She just wanted to enjoy the moment.

All the touring, all the practice, all the drama and stress wore her out. She just needed this; a relaxing evening, with her favorite show, and with, secretly, her new favorite person.

It didn't seem to bother Camito much, he just rolled with the punches, using stress as a push. He was tired, but still had the last ounces of energy to interact with her. She needed a person like this; a mentally strong character who provides for himself, and still able to spend time with the people he loved.

She didn't want a person who complained a lot, does little, and isolates himself for mysterious reasons, just like the story of Hadley in history class. Camito keeps saying he sees bits of himself inside him, but to Haku, they're nothing alike.

Haku faded into Camito's lap, resting her head on his chest. Camito held her to avoid tipping over. Eventually, Haku's eye resting became a deep sleep. Camito noticed a couple of episodes later and placed Haku in her bed, snuggling her up in her sheets.

He cut the TV off, diving into his own bed. They both knew what they had to do tomorrow, including Haku, but she wouldn't have to worry so much now.
