The investigation

Shelia and Rachel were really sad that Skylar was missing. Shelia was always calling her parents asking for updates on the investigation and always volunteering to search for her and put up missing posters. Another time Shelia went to Skylar's apartment and went up to her room and just started sobbing saying "I wonder where she is why won't she call me at least I'm her best friend" and Mary felt bad for her she hugged her and told her she'll be home soon she was wondering how she can help Skylars friends through this.
So luckily on July 9th, the investigation was finally taken seriously because Skylar was still not back yet and they looked more into her background and realized this wasn't something she would do, she was a very responsible girl she loved her family and friends was a happy kid. The West Virginia police and the FBI got involved and they interviewed Shelia just days after Skylar went missing and the interview said that Shelia was a narcissist and described her as wrong she was instantly suspicious of her. Rachel had gone on a boating trip with her mom the day Skylar went missing and they noticed a pretty bad cut on Rachel's leg and thought it was strange. Then the following day the 7th she went to Church camp so they had to interview her over the phone at first. They said she seemed very relaxed on this phone call and agreed to come in for an interview in person when she was back. And when she came in she said the same thing on the phone almost word for word at some points and they thought it was scripted. So they started looking into Skylar's social media and her journal for any clues. In her journal, she talked about where the girls had a sleepover at Rachel's house and they stole wine and got drunk and Rachel and Shelia started hooking up she said she was very uncomfortable being in the bathroom while they were going that. They looked into Twitter and they saw that before she went missing after her shift at Wendy's she tweeted twice she said " You doing shit like that is why I will NEVER completely trust you.
And "All I do is hope"
